Room was clean and hotel location was great.

After booking and paying online I had to fill out some more forms and handover my Creditcard for the deposit and then organise parking. Surely this can be done all online. This the third time this year we have stayed and still we have to go through the same stuff every time. In other places you can book a car park but not your hotel.

Have stayed at this hotel multiple times even before it was Fable and have always loved it. Super clean and central to everything

How central it was, nice and clean, extras provided

Ordered a cheese board platter to our room, lots of cheese, some fruit and nuts but barely any crackers so was disappointed for the price paid.

There were a couple of minor plumbing issues. It looked like there was underground parking available, but we were told we had to use public parking.

The shower was nice and the bed was comfortable.

When booking they never stated that upon arrival you would need to pay $100 deposit. If I have known this I wouldn't of booked there. They should state this before confirming your booking, we should of been made aware of this fee. Yes it gets put back into your account after checkout but takes about a week to get back in there. My husband and I were on a budget and trying to spend a night together without the kids. $100 may not seem like much to some people but it was the difference of whether we could or couldn't go out to dinner together. Was just disappointing that we were not made aware of this condtion before booking.

The staff were very welcoming. The Hotel was located very close to city centre with the tram running the the foyer. Rooms were generous with great views.

There was nothing I did not like. It was perfect. I would stay there again.

The apartment was exceptional in size for a family of 4. The bathroom was large, with a great view of the city. The location was easy and central for shopping, food, entertainment (we walked to the Test Match) and the tram was outside our door. We also hired a car and could access other towns within an hours drive. Everything to like about the Fable in Christchurch including very friendly staff and a great little bar to unwind at the end of the day. Valet parking was excellent also.

Dass Bett war bequem!

Ich selber komme aus dem Housekeeping und hab daher einen Blick dafür. Es geht gar nicht, dass überall eine Staubschicht sichtbar ist, selbst auf dem Seifenspender im Bad. Außerdem erwarte ich, in einem 4 Sterne Hotel für diesen Preis, dass die Toilette NICHT ununterbrochen läuft und tropft. Außerdem fand ich schade, dass man für Speck und Rührei beim Frühstück noch extra hätte zahlen müssen. Nach der Zimmer Reinigung hatten wir dann auch ein Badehandtuch weniger.

The room could need an update for 5 star hotel. Annoying that breakfast is divided into two parts and although you have “breakfast included” you’d still be charged (and hunted) for the second part. Not nice. Better to charge one fee.

Nice place, lifts are slow and due to big tour groups can get congested

Staff were not welcoming at all. Not what you expect from a nice hotel on your honeymoon. Each member we spoke to were really quiet and not friendly at all.

Cons Random noises were heard early in the morning. Sounded like construction banging but not sure. Wouldn't deter us staying again. Lift a little bit slow - had to wait a while to be picked up

The alternative room was fine with great views of the city. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful.

We were first allocated a disabled room and when we challenged this at reception we were offered an alternative room.

The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet.

The room was very tight to get baggage past the bed and previous damage was very visible. Also given the price better quality toilet paper could be provided. The staff member on reception seemed like she had said the same things to customers too many times so while clear about what we needed she wasn't really welcoming. Good location.

Very handy location, very quiet. Safe place to stay,room had great views. Great shower and lots of lighting options. And lots of pillows. Loved the coffee machine in the room.

Would have liked a better range on the room service menu, less fried food.

I’d love to see herbal teabags provided! only green tea available- how about peppermint/ chamomile? something for us non - caffeine people
