There was a little confusion when we arrived as I had booked two rooms. One was for a friend. My friend arrived at the hotel first. The receptionist told me that we hadn't ordered breakfast, which entailed buying vouchers. I purchased vouchers only to find that my friend had done the same. The money was recredited to my card without fuss.

Easy to get to. Near a bus stop with frequent service into Union Square. We ate in twice and enjoyed good meals and service. Room was quiet and we slept well.

The numbers in the pool area were limited (understandably due to size). We had to come back later on one occasion. Steam room was closed on one occasion.

I've only stayed in the hotel a few times, but it was lovely to come into reception and the person checking me in remembered me. After a long drive it was such a nice welcome. The hotel is a great location for where I needed to be, plenty of parking and my room on the ground floor (executive) was clean, comfortable and spacious. The food in the restaurant was brilliant and the service was fantastic. I was so delighted with my stay.

The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming on arrival and the staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough for us. Great hotel to stay in and really enjoyed our stay.

The swimming pool was gritty underfoot that has to be the only negative thing I have to say about my whole stay.

I like the size of the rooms and the buffet breakfast.

The only bad thing I'd need to say is that every visit to the pool there was baby and toddler classes on which meant the pool was quite restricted.

Superb hotel with motivated attentive friendly staff. Excellent facilities. Excellent food. Talked to one of the maintenance staff on way to breakfast. He seemed really happy to be at work. Spa facilities really well looked after too. Can't fault the place at all. Recommend.

The hotel and staff were excellent. Room was really nice and breakfast was really good also

No towels at the spa. Once we got down was told we needed to use towels from the room and couldnt get other 1s so had to use damp towels to get dried in the morning after a shower

Wonderful breakfast and a big room (free room upgrade for our anniversary, which was much appreciated).

Reception member of staff when we initially went to check in wasn’t particularly pleasant. One of the jacuzzi’s was broken and it was very busy. So, people were literally queuing to get in. Far too many children who were extremely loud and ‘bombing’ in the pool. Therefore, a much needed relaxing time wasn’t had.

The room was a very good size. Clean and smelling fresh. The shower was fantastic. Very powerful which isn't always the case in some hotels.

The only thing I could fault was the jacuzzi being out of order and one little pet hate of mine. It's brilliant getting the coffee machine in the rooms, however you're only ever supplied with a very small number of pods. It would be really nice to be provided with say 2 per guest. That's just a pet hate about pretty much all hotels though.

Rooms starting to feel slightly out dated, manly the carpets.

Pool was small, constantly full, we were turned away from the pool 3 times as they had no space

Wonderful pool and at breakfast staff catered for gluten and dairy free options.

All good except the restaurant didn't tell us to book a table when I asked when checking in and we couldn't get dinner.
