From the moment we reached the hotel, the considerable amount of hospitality and the great welcome that we received from each and every staff who goes out of their way to make the client happy is really unique in this hotel. My wife and son had their best time before school resumes. The level of service is definitely unique in the world i would say as i travel frequently. If you want to feel the saying of the customer is king have a stay in sofitel you will feel it

Lovely location with a Robinson Crusoe feel.
Amazing pool
Welcoming and attentive staff especially Élodie and Raf who offered to keep the room after checkout time.
Some aspects could do with a little renovation, especially in the rooms, some furniture were a bit tatty, towels and sheets could do with a replacement.

If it had just been a normal day, then i would say it was good. But it was a special day for my parents. So please read the comments below.
I've booked the hotel as my parents are celebrating their wedding anniversary and it was also my mom's birthday. I have called before to check if everything was ready and the lady i've spoken to confirmed that everything will be ready, we are going get a cake decorate the room...but when my parents went there, the room was not ready and my parents did not go like 1hr earlier, it was just about 15 minutes. There was no decoration, no cake to cut. It was supposed to be a special day for them !!! So that's my only dissatisfaction. I was planning to come again but because of that i will not come. I thought paying more would mean better service it was not the case.

No proper management
Dirty restaurant , staff put trays of used plates with all remaining dish of people next to people tables..
Which feel vomiting and cut apetit..
Despite asking to change table they never did so

The bar is like an open kitchen which washes all dishes and used plates with remaining food are placed on the bar near tables for lunch…
We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary..
We requested for a cake (at cost) and a table set up.,
The reception informed that they should provide all these nothing to worry.,
They never provided the cake not the table setting and destroyed our celebrating day.,,
AC is room was not working

The resort is so nice and calm. The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful specially Divya and the whole teams.

The room was not clean and old.and some of the stuffs such as tissue holder broken. The fridge furniture had spider webs and very dirty.
The sea water was red from the mud coming from a small fresh water source.

This place has a beautiful vibe. Calm and joyful. There is a great sence of privacy. The staff is very honestly happy and true, no falce smiles. The rooms have such great design, you don´t even want to leave the room:-) Beautiful walks in the gardens around. Great masages, great instructor in the gym, who is very accurate. And oh - the food is awsome! This place is worthy every cent!
You can get big winds or currents at this geographic position. So swimming can get a bit limited. But everything else is simply so great you don´t mind not to be wet every day like a fish :)

Beautiful expansive grounds and very nice snorkeling spot. I loved the big separate showers in bathroom as well as outdoor shower
Hotel getting old. cracks on terrazzo floor and basins. They could have made an entrance to the outdoor shower. Then you don't mess room when you come from the sea with sand etc

Situation is amazing, very nice spot. However very windy by the beach.
Food was excellent and staff very helpful.
Spa was very disapointing, Overall, this hotel needs a refreshment ... some renovations needed.

Property is old..needs serious renovations,rooms are badly equipped.We stayed 4 nights and aircondition was hardly working that we had to request pedastel fan and slept 4 nights in a fan.Room services are super slow.We had to call several times for everything.No proper cleaning of the rooms ,No refill of coffee and tea stations.Overall very bad stay at the property.Will not recommend it to anyone.

-The staff was very friendly, trying there best to help us ever brought a large in-door fan to fight against the heat. There is a delay in services but I believe its from either the resort is understaffed or its staffs are overworked. The most friendly staff member was Mr. Raj (1-point)
-Unique amazing location, feels like a walk through a forest and the beach is clean (1-point)
-The dine-in room service is ammmazing 10/10 so delicious, and so good from pizza, pasta, burger, club sandwich to desserts (1-point)

-There A/C should be called Heating system as it has NO cold air system. Good luck trying to have a good night sleep during summer time (Not recommended to visit the resort during Mauritius summertime from Oct - Feb)
-The suite is very dirty from sand, ants, and best of all in-door geckos (as I said due to delay of services, the staff will not come to your assistance in getting rid of the gecko so I had to take action on dispose 2 of them)
-The breakfast buffet is low in diversity, I strongly believe they only made the buffet suitable for the Europeans (so Arabs, Asians, and Africans you need adjust your diet according to what europeans eat)
-Complementary water, you have to ask for everytime.
-Even the refrigerator cooling system is weak, so if you need to drink cold water and cola, you need to order ICE with your room service.
-They DON'T TRUST YOU to pay for your room services, and laundry during checkout, so they will ask a deposit of 9000Rs upfront to cover for your services (so in return don't trust them with anything they say)
-You have to call them multiple times, if you need a service like laundry, complementary water, housekeeping, baggages delivery during checkout....
Overall this resort should never be put in 5-stars filtering seach in booking, I have no idea how they are 5-stars and on similar category as Shangri-La, well someone didn't do there job properly

its a family hotel and it might be good enough for some people
raj was the best there and other 2 cant seem to remember their names, not all staff were friendly but most are okay and to be honest I didn’t get my 5 star treatment although ive made it clear many times but it seems to me that theres some lack of understanding, rooms were not getting cleaned well they always miss on something like not giving you towels or leaving a dirty cup. the location is a bit tricky since the south side has more wind that would interfere with swimming and tans, also you need like a 50 minute or more drive to get to good locations with restaurants and shops

Most of the staff were very nice. It's a beautiful part of the island.
The manager was very unhelpful, when I had a doubt over their currency conversion rate he told me there's nothing to be done and walked off and told the staff to deal with me. Check-in took over 30 minutes!
The sauna and steam were also out of action but the property hadn't advertised this.
It's super expensive. A glass of wine is double or triple what you pay outside the resort.

Comfortable and specious rooms, very nice personnel. Mini bar free of charge, nice outdoor shower and excellent breakfast. Rooms are equipped with very good sound system and TV channels, where you can watch your favorite sports events, which is not very common in such resorts.
Beach was very windy and hardly usable, no matter how sunny it was. The beach itself is nice, well maintained and equip by the resort, but due to its location it is often windy. The rooms have very nice outdoor bath tubs. Our was perfect, however, we noticed that the one in the room next door was in poor condition and there were people accommodated in this room. So there is a chance that you may be "unlucky".
