Breakfast was excellent and all staff we encountered you could not fault. Bathroom very clean and new. The shower was lovely too.

The car park is awkward and should be respaced! Also the beds a bit small, bearing in mind I’m not big either this could be a problem!

Well located a short walk from the city centre , castle, cathedrals. Ample free car parking Excellent breakfasts

No food in the evenings but there were plenty of good pubs and eateries located only yards away or a pleasant walk into town. Mattress was a bit soft for me but that is really a matter of preference

There is no evening meal , but the pub across the road does a good meal. Also they only serve bottled beers and spirits .

Room needed some attention. Shelf in the bathroom was not horizontal.

Clean and comfortable, in a very convenient position and the breakfast was fab.

It was close enough to the city centre without being in the middle of it. Quiet. Nice pub and restaurant nearby. Also access to Rickerby Park and beyond into rolling country

Fantastic breakfast

Firstly, I found parking my car easier than I imagined it would be. Secondly, the reception area has recently been redecorated with pictures of the lakes and many pleasing visual features. On the ground floor, next to reception is a comfortable lounge/bar area. Upstairs, my room was spacious and warm with a comfortable mattress topper. The breakfast dining area and selection were very good. The choice of fruits, yoghurt, cereal, and a great cooked breakfast, if you wish. Some GF options.

Sadly, the thermostat fitted to the radiator near the window was not working. Hopefully, this will be picked up by the relevant maintenance team.

The room was too hot so we had to have the window wide open. We made sure the radiator was turned off. We were next to a busy main road and slept poorly

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. The rooms were freshly renovated, the staff were exceptional, breakfast was an absolute surprise. This hotel was exceptional.

Overnight stay on the way to Scotland, staff were very friendly, facilities clean breakfast excellent.

We use satnav to get there so drove by and missed the turning into the car park, but we did find it

First of all in the Cumbria Park Hotel I met the dearest receptionist ever, he was very kind, very helpful and patient. Unfortunately I couldn't remember his name, but for me he was Santa Claus. In addition the hotel was really beautiful, we had huge and equipped rooms and the breakfast was awesome, especially the eggs benedict!!

Only miniature inconvenience was that the front doors were closed and we had to get around to the back door...but really nothing bad that I can say about this hotel!

Difficult to find room, a bit noisy, but nothing to really complain about.

Spacious clean room, comfortable bed, tea/coffee facility, tv and good WI-FI connection. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good range to choose from. Good value and friendly staff.

The location we just wanted a quite night .the restaurant was good and the food was excellent we even added breakfast on aswell

The hotel has a large free car park. The room we got was a little bigger than most. There was a refrigerator in the room. It was quite modern. The included breakfast was very good and the restaurant food was also very good. It was located 15 minutes walk from the Castle.

Menu for dinner was limited..
