Everything about Geckos Rest was spot on - couldn't find fault with anything. Room was clean, fresh and modern. Breakfast choices were great and cooked exactly as you preferred. A really good quality accommodation, owned and run by great hosts.

Our hosts could not do enough for us and they were very lovely. Everything from our welcome and giving us parking advice, to offering us beach towels, to offering breakfast and everything in between. Thank you so much

The owners are lovely and welcoming and helpful. The room was really clean and cosy with plenty of space for clothes. Lovely breakfast and you could change/add whatever you liked from the menu. Would definitely stay again!

Very convenient location, you can roam around all central locations in Newquay without a car. Also the room was comfortable and clean, the hosts very attentive and professional and it also attracts good crowd (fellow guests).

This was a return visit as we enjoyed our stay so much last year. Amy and John are superb hosts and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and the room facilities were great. It’s a short walk to the town and there are so many lovely walks near by. I’m sure we’ll be going back again!

The location was amazing, only a few minutes walk into town. Free parking is also available when you book, which was an added bonus! The view from our sea view room was incredible. It was amazing to wake up to in the morning and see the sunset at night too. The room was so clean, a great size and the bed was so comfy! John and Amy were the best hosts, so welcoming and made our check in simple, helping us to our room and were happy to help with any of our needs. John waited on us at breakfast and was so helpful with any questions we had about where to eat in Newquay and the best places to go. There was a great choice of food at breakfast from cereal, fruit and yogurts to breakfast sandwich, lighter cooked breakfast and full English. The whole stay was amazing, we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be returning to Geckos Rest when we visit Newquay again!

The property location was fantastic for Newquay and to use as a base for visiting more of Cornwall. The room was really nice, with a great shower, huge bed and was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts was superb. Amy and John are both lovely people who are always on hand should you need anything. A faultless stay and experience. Thank you both

Location absolutely perfect - 5 minute walk from town centre and walking distance to harbour, beaches, bus station, restaurants etc. Beautiful room with amazing view and super clean. Incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts with a delicious breakfast. An all round brilliant stay, we couldn’t have had a better time!
