Location and outlook over the Port
There was a group of guests who seemed to be somewhere in public areas of the hotel talking loudly until very late, like 2am.
I could hear them easily

To much noise from kids and adults knocking on door across the hallway from our room and talking in the hallway

Nothing to fault, apartment had everything we needed. Odd smell coming from the drain pipe, nothing major at all.

This is a very nice waterfront hotel, kitchette was included and the place was modern and the staff are friendly and accomading, there is a pool and a lot of people fish from the close by river channel
So this is very much a hotel experience in a modern hotel, if this is your preference then this will be a very nice stay, we look for it uniqueness and this place had some with the riverside and pool, just not a lot.

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel with our family. The location is great and the lounge is spacious and great for families. We love staying here.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
This time we noticed the bedrooms- especially the curtains were falling off the curtain rail. The little touches were missing from last time. And the bathroom - flooded easily from the shower and the top off the toilet came off.

I booked a room for a city view got a room on ground floor aswell as no table and chairs outside my room

Fantastic location and facilities. The pillows and beds were so comfortable. The view from the balcony over the wharf allowed us to see the training for canoeing and walkers with their pets.

Everything was perfect! We absolutely loved our stay. Would recommend to everyone thinking about coming to Gisborne and are needing accomodation.

I loved the comfort but would have liked a bigger room. We got a good deal. I'd love to return and have a much bigger room with a table out on the balcony like other rooms had. If I knew that was an option I would've asked for it.

Great service when we asked to upgrade our room. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom spacious.
