The location is on the main strip of hotels and hostels, so it’s convenient. Rooms are tight but beds were comfortable. I had the top bunk and felt a little wobble climbing up and being on top. The washrooms are spacious, with wide shower stalls and changing area.

Rooms are located upstairs, there is no lift so prepare. The hallway is dim and there is a small living area at their end with a few couches. The downstairs main dining and lounge area was basic with tables and chairs, there two fridges for travellers and a basic kitchen to use. No oil or seasoning, so bring your own. No breakfast was included in our stay

Very attentive staff. There were hooks and holders in the bathroom. Individual outlets for recharging electronic equipment.

The locker had problems.

- bathroom was not very clean - my locker didn't work / they didn't find the key

we really liked everything!! perfect location, comfortable bed, clean kitchen and good bathrooms. what we liked the most is the staff, suuuuuper kind and nice!! they also kept our staff during a 3 days trekking without charging us any money!! highly recommended

I can't believe that I left. Hostel Mistico 23 and El Chalten are p.erfect. I stayed one month and wanted more time.

great location close to shops and restaurants. mattress was very comfy temperature was good shared kitchen to cook small but good common area owners gave information about hikes

the room was way too small for 6 people. other dorms were bigger but we got a very very small room. hygiene wasn’t great: we stayed 4 days and we never had soap in the bathroom/showers. so basically you can’t wash your hands or you need to use a shower gel. the lockers aren’t safe, basically anyone can just lift the mattress and access the lockers. our room has a shared wall with the showers but the wall wasn’t complete so we could here people showering and talking late at night and early in the morning. the kitchen wasn’t clean either.

There's a large kitchen and common area to use. The personnel is very friendly. It's located in the center (but since El Chalten is pretty small, most of the hostels are ;-)).

The rooms are rather small so you barely have space for your luggage. The beds are squeaky and there's no privacy whatsoever because there are no curtains. Because it's a huge hostel, the bathroom gets dirty quite easily and you cannot lock the toilet. It's nice that there's a shared kitchen, but be prepared to share it with a lòt of other people.

Not very social. The cubby for my luggage had no way to lock it, doors to the rooms didn’t close correctly so it would just be completely open in the middle of the night and the hallways where rooms are is unlocked to the public so just felt a tad unsafe even though Chalten is a lovely town!

Turned into somewhat of a party hostel in the evening that we didn’t expect with it being a popular trekking destination. Some facilities (doors / toilet flush) breaking but seemed to be fixed quickly

Everything. This was only hostel available for my last minute booking. but everything about it was wrong. it is family owned place, but they see nothing but dollar and business. there is no connection with guests, whatever you ask for they say not allowed (ex early check in, moving bed from top to bottom bunk) in the end I just stopped asking. the common area is like uncomfortable canteen. The door lock in my dorm was broken, so we ended up getting stuck in and our and they never fūxed in in 7 nights of my stay. definitely would not stay again. no VIBE.

Absolutely nothing!!!

Stay away from this place!!!!We booked 4 beds and when we came they told us they gave away 2 of our beds with no explanation as to way!!! We mentioned that we were going for an overnight trek so the receptionist offered to give us just the 2 beds and let the 4 of us leave our stuff and get a shower. We didn’t have a choice and agreed. When we came to check out in the morning the owner of the place asked us to pay for 4 beds!!! We explained number of times that the woman at the reception the day before said something else and all we got from her was screaming(!!!!!!) that we need to pay for 4 beds, while her husband threatens to call the police. Stay as far away from this hostel and their absolute terrible behaviour!!!!!!

Clean and warm rooms, check in was easy and the Staff was friendly, location is right in the middle of the town close to all the important trails

Apon arrival the water in the bathrooms wasn't working. The door to our room constantly got Stuck so guests couldn't get in or out. The main door to the hallway to the dorms screetched loudly every time it was opened, which made getting good night sleep impossible. Overall the bathrooms were not very clean and the toilets were sometimes clogged

Very comfortable beds. Bathrooms were very clean and showers worked well. Big, clean and well equipped kitchen. The staff was very friendly and let us deposit our bags for the night we spent at the park. Can recommend.

The top bunk beds were pretty high up and there was no shelf or anything to put things like a book or phone. On the upper bed the bed lamps shine pretty much straight into your face.
