It is an absolutly amazing house with a fantastic view of the area. The pool was fantastic in the extreme heat that hit Italy this week. The host is very friendly and helpfull and we had the best vacation.

Really outstanding experience throughout in every way. Met by a lovely host, Prosecco in the fridge. House is located on top of a steep hill accessed through a private gate and a steep driveway. The pictures do not do the house justice, an architectural marvel, lots of fantastic artwork and a lovely garden. All appliances in order and in place, we, a party of 8, 4 adults and 4 children, actually rarely left the house, garden and pool. Oh the pool, very well located and recently refurbished, great! Great little town, Tavernerio with a lovely restaurant in walking distance and a great little bakery/gelateria a few minutes walk away. Lovely garden as well with a little pond and a fountain. A fantastic experience and we will definitely be back!

The villa itself is amazing! The architecture is surprising you every day and every day you see something new that amazes you even more. The garden is beautiful and they are currently working on a fixed pool that should be ready for the summer. The view over the towns beneath is definitely worth mentioning as well and with good weather you even can enjoy a stunning sunset. The villa was equipped with everything and more. They even offered some food and drinks, that we were not expecting to find. We had some extra unexpected requests and the hosts were completely okay arranging this, without any issue. The host asked me every day via whatsapp if we were having a good time and if they could help us with anything. We were already discussing amongst our friends that this would be a great get-away during the summer (there is also a BBQ), but must be amazing as well during autumn (thinking about the garden in autumn colours) or even to celebrate New Years Eve. We will come back for sure!

Two small things I can think of: 1) Unfortunately the fireplace could not be used. I can understand they are too afraid for fires causing damage to the house, but as there is a cute sitting area build around the fire place and we were there when the weather was not that warm, it would have been lovely to have been able to use it. 2) We could not use the SmartTV functions as the TV was mentioning it needed a wifi dongle to make connection to the internet. Completely no issue when you are there just some days and no need when the weather is good, but if you want to stay longer and/or you face bad weather, you might want to be able to enjoy some Netflix or Amazon Prime Video for instance. Must say: I did not ask the hosts if there was a way to arrange this, so maybe they would have solved this for me if I'd asked. Also before we arrived I asked if there was a DVD player available and they offered me to arrange one if I wanted it, so maybe just me asking the dongle would have solved the issue. We now just connected the PC to the TV (we brought our own cables to do so) and watched Netflix that way (if this is your plan as well, bring bluetooth speakers along, as the audio from the TV was not working via HDMI, TV mentioned it needed external speakers for it to work).

Amazing location with a view over the town and surroundings; the villa is spacious, well-decorated and fully equipped with everything necessary; it's a beautiful house full of character; bedrooms are of good size; the swimming pool (albeit small) is excellent to chill you down in the hot summer days. House is perfect for families with children. Lake Como is just a few km away and the whole lake area is easily accessible by car. The owner (Valerio) is very welcoming and helpful!
