Spacey suite, microwave in room

There is a strong smell of dampness all the time everywhere in the suite. Loose door handle on the bathroom door that could cause someone to get stuck there. The main light in the living room stopped working and when mentioned to staff they have said they will report it but nothing was done during our stay. No balcony just a shared terrace although it mentions a balcony when booking Stained sheets Being bitten by mosquitoes because of plants outside of window where they gathered and entered if we opened it. Hearing the mosquito singing all night was probably the worst night I've had there. Opening the curtains provides a clear view inside the suite as it faces the house and everyone comes and goes through the door outside the suite. Very old and feels like it has been unused for a long time. There is a bolted door with an opening at the top that leads (?)downstairs. The gap means there's cold air coming through it looked a bit creepy as if someone could bust into your room through the door. Luckily it was warm when we went so we didn't experience what it might be like in winter.

Quarto com bastante humidade Isolamento péssimo, ouvia-se quem passava nos corredores inclusive quem estava hospedado no quarto no andar superior, referiam que tinham estacionamento e o estacionamento que tinham era só para dois carros, tendo que estacionar nas proximidades do mesmo e na rua, referiam também que tinham pequeno almoço e não tinham.

Ottima la posizione, si raggiungono facilmente i castelli anche a piedi con una camminata di mezz'ora. Pulizia ottima e la stanza all'ultimo piano molto carina. Ottima anche la presenza di un phon vero e non da viaggio. Bagno carino e ben pulito, ottimo anche il bagnoschiuma presente.

La reception sia all'arrivo che al mattino era assente. All'arrivo poi dopo aver chiesto si è presentata. Al mattino invece nessuno, abbiamo dovuto chiamare anche se l'orario era già quello in cui doveva essere aperta. Non è un problema non esserci, però allora giusto spiegare quale sia la modalità di check out dalla stanza.

Lovely staff that not only welcomed us but also gave us some nice tips of places to eat. Being 2 km from the historical city centre of Sintra at this price is an absolute find. It is actually doable to walk from the hotel to the main attractions if you're used to walking. Situated in a very quiet neighbourhood we enjoyed a nice sleep and got easy access to Sintra for a day visit.

A few things were not perfect but tolerable but i'll still mention them. The mattresses were not very comfortable, being very soft you get that sensation of rolling into the middle and wake up not feeling fully rested. Being in the middle of a neighbourhood also means no parking, it felt safe to leave it just around the corner but it's worth being aware.

The hotel is in a great location to move around the area and park and very good value for its price.

The owners are lovely and really helpful although I can’t say the same about the cleaning ladies who were not too nice and very loud since early in the morning. But this last inconvenience is not relevant in comparison with the pros of the hotel. I still recommend it!
