Great location, easy walk to WW1 museums/ places of interest and Menin Gate, friendly host, good variety of food for breakfast, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Good information shared pre arrival about parking. Highly recommended.

Nearby parking is limited but we were lucky enough on arrival to find a space. As everything was walkable we didn't need the car again until we left Ypres.

Easy to find using Google Maps. The bedroom was comfortable with good en-suite facilities. The breakfast area was immediately outside the bedroom and had a great choice of breakfast items. Nespresso coffee was available at any time. The hostess was charming and very helpful with her recommendations of restaurants and things to see. The Menin Gate and 'In Flanders Fields' museum are within easy walking distance.

The staircase was steep, but this is typical of the area so not something that can easily be changed.

The location is very good, with some parking across from property and more close by. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with all you should need, including fridge with various choice of drinks, they also have a seating area on the roof. Breakfast has a good range of foods and drinks and plenty of it. You can help yourselves to drink and fruit whenever you wish And last but not least, our hosts Sofie and Lode They are the perfect hosts, and we wish them well. Would certainly stay there again if we're lucky to visit in the future.

Location brilliant, room compact but fine for a couple of nights. The breakfast was lovely, unfortunately this is located directly outside the 2, 1st floor bedrooms, so you are woken by the next room if they get up earlier than you,

We were lucky and could park outside, as there was a free space, not sure I would have been happy to 'leave in the street'.

Friendly hosts, went the extra mile to meet our needs. Location, peaceful but close to centre of town. Breakfast was excellent. One guest found the bed to be comfortable.

The hosts Sophie and Lode were absolutely brilliant from start to finish of our stay, they gave us hints of location to visit and were very helpful throughout. The accommodation was spot on and not what we were expecting the rooms were just what we needed for our stay. the breakfast in the morning although continental was delicious and plentyiful. I would highly recommend staying at this B&B especially for the warm welcome to the help and assistance from the hosts many thanks C G T & B

Lovely property in the centre of town. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The room and beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Highly recommended. Parking in the street was free.

The breakfast is superb, such a great variety of fresh food cooked to order. The Nespresso machine is available 24/7 along with a kettle to make tea. It is a short walk from here to all the main attractions in Ieper but far enough away to be quiet at night. Parking is in a nearby street and is free. The beds were very comfortable. Although the room is small it was more than adequate.

Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The location was perfect for Ieper, with it being central to all of the city. Sofia was the perfect host who offered insights to the area and made us feel at home. I will visit again.

The only issue was to get there. My satellite navigation got a little confused with the one-way system, but not an issue.

There was nothing to complain about

I checked out the reviews before booking, but could not find a bad one. No wonder the guesthouse is amazing. Firstly the very warm welcome from Sofie, the host, the cleanliness was immediately obvious. The house is an old Town House, minutes from the main square. They have created very modern en suite bedrooms, and very comfortable too. Nothing has been missed, even electrical adaptors in case you’ve forgotten yours. The Breakfast, WOW!, superb and plenty of it! Sofia’s mum makes the lovely home made jams for breakfast. Ideally suited to explore the city, easy level walking distance to all the attractions. This is a gem, and we will be back asap! Book with confidence you will not be disappointed.

Squeaky floorboards- worried about disturbing the family!

If you are seeking warmth, comfort, safety, walking access to everything wonderful in old Ypres, a top tier breakfast that will leave you full for the day, a quiet place with comfortable beds, and a hostess that you would like to remain friends with forever, book this lovely property right away! We could not have had a more enjoyable stay at Cocoon. Sophie, the hostess, is very experienced but treats every guest as if they were the only guest she has ever had. We wish we could have stayed on longer and if we come back to this beautiful part of Belgium we will arrange our stay to coincide with her availability! Stop looking and book if there is space available!

The accommodation was very central yet tucked away in a little side street with a parking space. This gave us opportunity to see a little more of Ypres than previously. Our host, Sofie, is absolutely delightful and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. She provided a fabulous breakfast and was extremely generous. Her house is beautiful. We can't wait to go back!
