The location was further from the airport than indicated. We walked there at 1.30am in -4 degrees. We didn't get to experience any of the facilities as it was just somewhere to get some rest which it suited our needs.

This Hotel was really great for our one night stays after flying in from Australia and prior to our leaving a couple of weeks later, so handy to the airport. The room was very clean and all we needed. Bathroom also very clean and new looking. The staff were extremely helpful. Great that this is a 24 hour reception as we had to arrive and depart in the early hours of the morning.

Stunning hostel from both the inside and the outside. Less than a 10-minute walk to Christchurch Airport, just past the outlandishly fascinating International Antarctic Centre. Loved the privacy of the pods ("Beam me up, Scotty!"), and the communal areas as well as the sanitary facilities which were large, clean, and functional. However, the overall vibe was a bit off, and the guests were not as talkative and sociable as one might have hoped for but rather aloof and stand-offish, with quite a number of them more or less staring at their phones. Sign of the times, I suppose.

Good location from CHC, with signage from the arrivals area carpark. Rooms were as advertised, clean, basic and met all requirements. Check-in was handled efficiently via the iPad, and on check-out was assisted by a nice receptionist lady who ensured all was in order.

A shelf in the shower for other toiletries would have been useful, and a later check-out time than 10am would also be great.

Location is very good as not to far from airport and is lit up all the way to the building. Very popular place to stay.

No fridge, to.small have to go downstairs to make a coffee if you have your own cup stayed in other properties for the same price that were a lot better

I arrived at Christchurch Airport after midnight. LyLo was an easy walk from the terminal and has 24hour check in.

My welcome at reception was cool to say the least. The guy wasn't friendly and started dealing with the man who arrived behind me before he'd completed my check-in. I felt irrelevant. When I got to my room it looked clean but it smelt strongly of damp carpet or trainers or something. Normally I'd have asked for another room but I was so tired and my welcome was so unfriendly I just put up with the smell but it wasn't pleasant.

Very close to the airport and plenty of parking outside. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom was also clean and tidy.

Only downside was took a few minutes for staff to open the door to get into the lobby as was after 10pm when I checked in despite him being able to see me through the glass doors. The staff member advised me to use the self check in. Tried to use it 2 or 3 times myself and check getting an error saying I couldnt check in. The staff member just told me to try again despite letting him know i had tried that already. Eventually, he just did a manual check in and I got up to the room.

The shared space is nice, with a large kitchen with everything you need, plus lots of free stuff!

The noise inside the pod was unbearable for me and I couldn't get much sleep. The guy at the counter said it's probably got something to do with the electricity and that's the same in all the rooms... It's a buzzing sound that is fairly reasonable when you're outside of the pod, once inside the sound reverberates and it's quite strong. It wasn't there when I went to sleep around 22-23, only around 1 after midnight I woke up from the noise, then tried to sleep in the common space, couldn't get much sleep there as well. Maybe it's just me but just for you to know.

Ideal comfortable bed and facilities after a long trip, a added extra would be a shuttle to and from the airport for women travelling alone at night, instead of walking in the dark from airport to accommodations, but that is a added extra. :)

It was easy for access to retail and the airport

I liked the hang out lounge, it was quite wonderful, relaxing and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet, which is what I asked for.

The nickel and diming of everything. I understand it and how the hotel is more like a hostel/capsule hotel. But even the cheapest hotels offer to hold on to your luggage for you without charge. Also having to pay an extra $10 to get in a little early was a bit ridiculous I thought. Also, male staff could have been a little more welcoming and use some customer service training.

Perfect spot if you have an early flight, literally a ten minute walk to the airport. Also only 2 mins from a grocery store and multiple food options. Bed was comfy, shower was good and the hang out area was really awesome.

The room had all we needed. It was a short walk to the airport. We will use the hotel again in future.

Bathroom needs a good scrub. It had mold.

We stayed at LyLo over the busy weekend with our party of 8, including our little ones who were 8 and t6. We were absolutely blown away by the fun and relaxing space they had created for the common areas. It was clean, well organised and warm! Our pod room (family room) fit us all perfectly and again was very clean and well maintained. We absolutely loved our stay, and the kids will talk about this for a few years yet!
