Property had no minimum facilities. For 4 star hotel not to have even toilet cleaner, water, coffee, slippers and so on. There were rooms located line you are in basement with half window. The hotel is not very cheap not to have facilities like this. And also can’t say that the room was very clean, even sheets were very old, not very clean and a little torn.

There is no good thing about this hotel. The hotel haven’t got Wi-Fi connection even though their rooms haven’t got window. We have talked with reception about Wi-Fi problem and she said us there is a lot of rain that’s why Wi-Fi could not work properly !! ( btw she is so rude ). In Edinburgh rain can cause Wi-Fi problem ! There is at least 11 month rain

Front steps were trashy and uncleaned for multiple days

The breakfast was good , had to wait a while for food to be topped up as it was busy . Staff were lovely & enjoyed a drink at the bar

The bed was uncomfortable for me I’m not sure if it was because it’s 2 mattresses together but it was uneven and gave me a back ache for the 3 nights I stayed , my partner was fine … I still enjoyed my stay :0)

Staff were helpful. Room very clean. Breakfast was ok. Neighbourhood seemed quiet.

The room had NO window. It was claustrophobic. Toilet and shower area was very cramped. Everything was white plastic. It was like being in a hospital.

I left my straighteners in the room and phoned 24 hours later and housekeeping had kept them safe. I was so impressed with this.

It was a bit expensive £250 a night

The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The rain shower head in the shower was nice however the water pressure was lacking.

We stay in hotels frequently but would not stay in this hotel again. The room did not have very many amenities even though it was clean, comfortable and modern. It was very basic. We had 3 different rooms at this hotel as we were traveling as 5 family members. The bathrooms were not private unless you had the accessible room. There was a frosted glass shower cubicle and a separate glass toilet cubicle with the sink being in the open in the area of the room with the shower and toilet. This area was open to the bed area. My sister in laws staying together had no privacy from each other for bathroom needs or getting dressed. One room had a chair and no other place to sit except on the bed. The other 2 rooms only had a stool to sit on. There was very little places to put things. There were no hooks to hang towels or clothes on anywhere. When you took a shower you had to come out of the shower wet and cross the room to get a towel. The shower did not have a place to put toiletries, the floor was slick and there were no grab bars. It was shower walls and the faucet. You also had no privacy to get dressed or a place to put your clothes close to the shower. There was very little furniture in the room and a small place to put one suitcase and hang a few clothes. There were very few electric outlets or USB ports. There was one USB port by the bed, everything else was across the room. We could not hang out in any one of the rooms as there was no place to sit. There was no place at the hotel lobby or main floor area to sit and socialize. They had 2 chairs in the lobby off in the corner. I have never stayed in a hotel so basic and unfriendly. I have traveled all over the United States, Asia and Europe and never stayed at a place like this. It would be great for a single person or a couple that wanted a very very basic clean and comfortable room. The family members traveling with us were very disappointed in this hotel. It was their first time traveling out of the USA.

Heating was either too hot or too cold and couldn't be controlled from the room, and it had to stay on all the time since the windows didn't open. It then resets every night at midnight it's noisy and lit up the room. The room was like sleeping in some kind of spaceship all clinically white with weird mood lighting...just wasn't my thing I'm afraid. When I asked the front desk for assistance with the heating controls they looked really annoyed I'd interrupted their conversation and basically dismissed me without helping.

When we arrived we where pushed to self book in , that required £30 extra ,but we waited and other girl booked us in free , not happy that we where not told about breakfast until we got a final bill after checking out , terrible really

Manque un distributeur de boisson "fraiche". Il y a un distributeur mais à température ambiante.

The location is central - very close to the heart of Edinburgh. The front desk is 24/7, very convenient. The pricing is affordable. The room itself is cozy, comfy and clean.

Indeling van de badkamer en toilet was een beetje ongemakkelijk. Het had amper privacy.

Location is pretty central to most sites you may want to visit. Castle was within 20 minutes walking distance. Old town shopping, historical sites,gardens, pubs and restaurants are between 10-15 minutes walking distance. Ubers are close by if required to Yacht Britannia and the airport. The property had a gym which was a plus for us. The hotel is pretty quiet and even though it’s on a main street the only time you heard anything was police sirens later at night. Staff at the front desk are helpful and very responsive to requests or concerns.

You had to collect coffee every morning down in reception and take it back up to the room. Carpet in the rooms weren’t vacuumed or swept daily. The breakfast offered at the hotel was not at all to the standard required by a 4 star hotel. As this was an extra charge we went elsewhere every day.

The staff were accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our trip special.

It was described as close to the Waverley Station and Playhouse but it really isn’t. The twin beds were very close together.

Hôtel très bien situé en plein centre, petit déjeuner au top, et le personnel est au petit soins, j’ai bien apprécié qu’il réserve un restaurant pour notre groupe nous étions assez nombreux, ainsi que le taxi avant de partir.!!
