the construction going on outside the property, this was uncontrollable by the Santo George staff. In all, there was nothing I did not like.

Located very close to Amoudara beach, we walked there and to the main street where there is a huge taverna with several rooms. Close to a mini market for food. Parking onsite close to accommodation. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. We didn't expect luxury for the price and we were only staying for 2 nights. The choice at breakfast buffet was good with cooked food as well as cold meats and cheese, croissants and fruit. Close to Heraklion centre by car.

If we had been shown where our room was instead of just handing us the key as we went to the wrong room at first. There was no outside light, just hanging cables where light should have been so difficult to see at night to unlock door. The oven wasn't clean but we didn't use it anyway and there was no microwave. It was difficult to use the toilet and shower as not much room and there was noise from outside early morning from construction of steps outside our window.

The “resort” is close to the Beach with nice Beach Bars. The rooms were clean and got cleaned regularly. The cleaning lady was kind.

- There was intense and ongoing construction noise on 6 of 8 mornings/days for a minimum of 3 hours (time-stamped evidence was gathered) - Since the owner knew about the construction dates, which he admitted to me accompanying by the excuse of “not being able to cancel bookings on booking.com”, he is obliged to mention them upfront or close the accommodation display during a certain period. Since he was still offering rooms for the period when i was there, he intentionally calculates with renovating at the same time as having guests to cover the costs - Although there were some insight, acceptance and apologies, i was often receiving petulant and self-righteous vibes and left with a feeling of being unreasonable and demanding, having to understand the owners’ “situation” and with phrases like “There is nothing i could do about”. He certainly failed to offer real solutions like cancelling the construction work or accepting my wish to cancel the stay with a storno of the remaining days - The promised refund for the last night, which i had to spend in another accommodation due to the unbearable noise, was not transferred by now (2 weeks so far). Its clear to me that he doesn’t intend to refund me - The room swap to a “more expensive room” granted by the owner didn’t change the noise level at all, but presented itself with dangerously faulty electric devices and missing shower walls (upon which the owner reacted saying that he knows about them, but “it was me who wanted to have the room” - Unlike the owners’ claims that the construction noise is only due to emergencies, it was evidently not

The Santos Beach Hotel is an easy 17 minute drive from the Heraklion airport. We arrived late and they made us welcome. The room was clean bright with a new the kitchen comprised of cupboards, sink, microwave, and refrigerator.. The terrace had a beach view and a table with chairs to enjoy the sea air. We enjoyed the breakfast which could be taken indoors or outdoors in the garden. We would choose to stay here again.

The bathrooms were really bad our shower head had nothing to attach it to the wall and the floor would always be wet from the shower curtain not reaching the ground and was also mould on it

our room was absolutely beautiful - everything spoltlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, room cleaned every day, so spacious & comfortable with a nice terrace to sit out in the evenings. breakfast was simple but adequate & the owners & staff were incredibly nice. location fabulous - turn left you're on the beach turn right great choice of restaurants, shops & a well stocked supermarket.

Amazing spot, only 2 min away from the beach. Owner was very frendly and polite. He is always around when you need anything. The studio was very well equipped and the garden is just amazing. There is plenty of parking.

Wife was a bid weak in some spots.

The room was renovated and nice. it was close to all the nice restaurants (Petousis etc). The beach pool Havana was one block away and you could swim if you got a drink. The lady who did breakfast and cleaned did a great job. She washed the floors every day and cleaned up after breakfast duty. For 7 euros they will do your laundry and there is a rack on the patio for drying the clothes. The room has a fridge and stove and sink. The AC is good

The beach was a little rough by the property and is not a swimming beach. I couldn't take my 11 year old daughter swimming there. But there is a hotel down the beach for 380 euros a night and the beach is exactly the same.

Great location near the beach and the bus station.

The location was right next to the sea, very close to the restaurants, shops, bars, bus stop… The owners were very nice, they live on the property and we always saw them greeting us in the morning and at night and they were always present when we needed something. I don’t really understand the negative comments because we didn’t see anything wrong really.

If the property had pool it would be the best place on earth!!! …and maybe a better coffee machine in the breakfast room but that is just me being picky

The location of the Resort is nice, very close to a beach. The owners were lovely! Good value for money :)
