My husband and I had a wonderful visit to New Smyrna. It was our first time there but it won’t be our last! The Cottage was perfect for the two of us. Short walk to the beach and only several blocks to Flagler with great shops and restaurants. Enjoyed having our coffee on the porch.

The property was exactly as described on the VRBO listing. While close to everything, it was a quiet location. I would definitely book the rental again if visiting New Smyrna Beach.

We arrived and the bed wasn't made with dirty linens and towels in a laundry basket.

My wife and I loved this place. It was our first visit to NSB. It was a perfect location and size for us. The beach was close and Flagler st was only 4 blocks away. We walked everywhere during our visit. We would stay here again!

I just adored this property! I love old homes and charm and this had all of that! Small staircase leads you to the cottage above the garage parking stalls (so you have no downstairs neighbors or adjoining walls to neighbors) for you complete separate cottage all to yourself! You have your own complete balcony to enjoy the fresh Atlantic air rolling in... you cannot see Ocean that is two blocks away but you can certainly feel it.. I walked about 4 blocks down to amazing restaurants and shopping on Flagler every day and sipped coffee and enjoyed ocean breeze morning and sat out in the night breeze too! Only thing I can say is if you are extremely tall maybe this is not for you.. I am 5-8 and felt I had plenty of room and would think It would easily fit most people unless you have constrained feelings in lower ceilings.. I do not and actually felt the space was very well done and perfect! Thank you again Ladies!

What we loved: Cute and convenient to NSB beach and restaurants along Flagler Avenue. The deck is lovely in the morning and afternoon. The small space is artfully and comfortably arranged. What we would have liked: Adequate towels - only one wash cloth for two people and one bath towel each. Zero beach towels provided - at least we found none in the unit.

The Cottage was everything the site said it was and more! This tiny house had everything we needed and the best part was sitting on the deck and hearing the ocean. The beach is literally a 5 min walk away and strip was super close, too, with shops and restaurants. The owners were great to work with. I can’t wait to visit this spot again with my husband so he can see, too, how absolutely amazing and perfect the Cottage really is!

Fantastic place to stay! Cozy, comfortable - all that is needed and wanted is provided - close to the beach for walking to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great communication with Ian and Corrine for the few questions I had. Kim cleans the room, does the laundry - so sweet and friendly! I needed a few days away to get renewed - THIS is the place!

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage. It’s close to the beach and also walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. It is comfortable and had everything we needed, we really enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop deck!

We loved our stay at the cottage. The place was clean, easy access to the beach, easy check in and out. It is located close to all the good restaurants, Flagler Ave, and a beach access just minutes down the road. Staying during the week was perfect, far fewer people on the beach and in the restaurants. We would definitely stay at the Cottage again!!

This is a lovely place to stay. A short stroll from the beach and a 5 minute walk from Flagler. The cottage is above the garage with a large balcony that has a pleasant outlook. The amenities are excellent - everything you need is provided (including bikes). It was quiet and comfortable inside - really comfy bed. The cooking facilities are basic but really good and we chose to eat in on several nights, cooking nice meals easily. The little details are looked after - resealable bags for storing items in the fridge; DVDs; books; lovely towels, including beach towels. The only issue we had was that the owner did not respond to VRBO messages or texts or phone calls quite fast enough to help us. In particular we found that the check in information that was provided very late on VRBO did not include the code for the lock box for the keys. We were not aware of whether the owner was going to be around when we arrived either so there was a bit of a panic as we got closer to New Smyrna Beach that we were not going to be able to get into the property. It was getting dark and the weather was bad at that point which, admittedly, did not help. We phoned VRBO and they could not find the code or contact the owner either. Ideally, owners might try to be more available at the times when guests are due to be checking in. That said, when we arrived and found the owner at home (they live right next to the cottage) and ready for us, not only was that a relief, but she was apologetic for the stress and was very kind. Thank you overall for a lovely stay at NSB. We would definitely return to this rental x

The rental unit was excellent. The host met us at the unit, showed us around, and was always available to answer questions. The location was beautiful. A quick, 2 block walk to the beach and a 3 block walk to restaurants and shopping. We would love to stay there again Thank you!

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. HOST IGNORED TEXTS AND PHONE CALLS. PROPERTY WAS GREAT, BUT VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN TERMS OF ADEQUATE COMMUNICATION. This property was booked a couple of months ago for a wedding in New Smyrna Beach. First: the reservation request expired and I had to send another one. The host finally responded and I was able to book the property. Upon booking, I asked the host if it would be at all possible to check in at 2:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm to give my wife an extra hour to get ready for the wedding which started at 4:00 pm. The host requested we message them the day before to confirm if the 2:00 pm check in was available. The day prior to check in I messaged host via VRBO app, reminding them of what we discussed and stated I would check back in the morning to confirm availability: no response. The check in day arrived and the check in instructions stated “call Corrine (phone number)” to receive the passcode for the lock box. So I texted the number at 9:52 am, reminding the host who I was and askied the possibility of checking in at 2:00. For 2 hours I received no answer, so I attempted to call the number. Rang 3 times, then to voicemail. As it was now approaching noon and we had an hour drive to the property, I called again and was sent straight to voicemail (3 times). I texted the number again stating if we can’t check in early that is fine, I just need to know we have a place to stay. The host did not respond until 2:03 pm, confirming we could check in early and providing the lock box code. We did not start our commute until we got this confirmation, which due to traffic because of spring break/ bike week put us way behind. We arrived at the property, I retrieved the keys from the lock box and went to open the door to realize it was a door with a keypad, and no visible key hole. I called the host again, no answer. Called again, sent to voicemail (2 times). Finally got an answer on the fourth attempt and she explained how to use the key because the keypad was not working. The property: good location, comfortable bed, has necessities. BUT, I would never book with this host again due to lack of communication, extremely unprofessional.

A cute room over the garage; has everything you need. For a longer stay, , would have loved a blender (was a manual for one, but no blender to go with it:)). need more oversight over the contents?

This place was perfect for what we needed. We were in for a weekend wedding and this was exactly what we were looking for. Easy access to the beach, food, stores and shopping. This sweet little cottage was clean and covered all the essential amenities.

Cutest little carriage house for 2. Everything you need and easy walk to Flagler St and beach. We didn't have car at all! The bikes are a nice extra but they could be updated/maintained. Didn't take away from the charm overall. It's wonderful to sit out on the deck. Wonderfully quiet neighborhood too!

The cottage has a great location - close to both beach and the bars and restaurants of Flagler Avenue. We both found the bed very uncomfortable and too warm. Part of the mattress seemed to be a piece of foam plus the bedding itself did not seem to be of high quality material. We also found the air conditioning very noisy. So if a couple of things could be improved, we would score it more highly for a short break.

The cottage was adorable and had everything I needed, down to an umbrella for the rain. Corinne was attentive and helpful. I absolutely would stay here again.

Clean & well appointed. Most everything you would need for a short getaway. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. We were only there for a few days, so it wasn't a big issue, but if you were there for any extended period, more storage space in the dressers would be nice. Overall, a nice place to spend a little time.

The location was good however the property is a little overgrown with vegetation. The garage apartment is nice however it is not conducive towards tall adults. I’m 6’3” and had to lower my head when entering the bathroom and also be careful of the ceiling light fixture which was too low for me. The way the ceilings slope makes it hard for a tall person to get around in the house.

We loved the cottage. Perfect location to beaches, restaurants, shopping and especially fishing. We didn’t want our time to end and looking forward to returning in the future

When people say that they found a diamond in the rough, we now know what they mean. The Cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable, meeting all of our needs. Easy access to beach and short walk to famous Flagler Ave. where there are many choices for entertainment. We had the pleasure of meeting Corrine, which added more comfort to our stay.
