Location was excelling. The apartment was perfect for a couple. It was a very clean property with everything you need. We had all cooking utensils, some oils for cooking etc. The shower was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. Spending an evening on the terrace with a glass of wine and food with my partner was very romantic and highly recommended. The best thing I liked and did not expect at all was to be collected at the boat by Maria and Pietro and brought to the apartment by car. We were given a tour of the apartment and a run through on all things to do and see with contact numbers we may need.

The water heater kept tripping so at times we would lose hot water when showering or cleaning up. The window above the door is overlooked by the building across so we felt a lack of privacy so we used a blanket to cover for privacy.

The location is perfect. Being met at the train station was great. Maria took us through the local area and provided great information about Varenna and lakes area. The accommodation was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

The welcome from the owners, on a raining day at the station was wonderful. There hospitality and support to settle us in was outstanding

Vitually everything was great, but you had to remember to keep the humidifier on all the time or the room could smell a little musty

Hosts Pietro and Maria were “Gems”!!!
