Second time we’ve stayed here. Lovely old house with large rooms and comfy beds. Great value for an overnight stay.

Barosque style interior. Lobby has historic feel with fantastic chandeliers and paintings.

No breakfast provided but they have a kitchen. Just cooked ourselves and ubered some pizza

Charming heritage building, very welcoming, personal and friendly staff, location close to Sydney Olympic Park, walking distance to nice restaurants, parking on premises.

I love the interior of the hotel. Barosque style with stunning chandeliers which is good for wedding photography. It is walking distance to church and train station. Parking space were available too. It is clean and neat.

Slow internet

Beautiful property we have stayed at many times. Rooms and bedding excellent.

Breakfast no longer included. Fine, but nice if someone told us. WiFi password not provided. Andre friendly and helpful but other staff surly. The change in management has seen the place go downhill.

Great location, easy access to trains and busses. Many eateries to choose from in close proximity.

Its like stepping back in time. Beautiful high ceilings and gorgeous old furniture. The street the hotel is on is full of old mansions, worth a look on your 5 min walk into in town. The town centre has plenty of food and coffee choices . Loads of small Asian supermarkets for your grocery needs too.

Didn't have net flicks

it is very clean and quiet. perfect location for convenient public transportation access. the rooms are spacious with period features and nice garden. the staff are very kind and supportive.

the wifi is a bit difficult. but I had my mobile access so it is not a problem for me. but if you would heavily count on hotel wifi, better talk to the owner to double check.

Room was big enough,

Only one bathroom and toilet on Level1 and I couldn't use Wifi on my room8 during staying, no airconditioning, felt cold

It is a very elegant and comfortable hotel.

Breakfast is no longer provided, whereas it was at the time of my previous visit, in June 2022. This was disappointing.

not what was expected. cobwebs all over the place . toilet felt like it would fall over. disabled bathroom for non disabled people????

Andrew (the owner/manager) was kind and welcoming, the room was very clean and the property had a very home-y feel

Great location close to train line and restaurants/ takeaway shops , and a big beautiful old house to stay in .

The bed was worn down on the sides , like sleeping on an angle. There was cereal and toast available for a light breakfast last time we stayed there and didn't realise it was no longer on offer , mind you there's still a toaster / kitchen downstairs I assume can be utilised.

The hotel is located in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from Homebush Station & shopping strip. Several nice restaurants are also within walking distance. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

clean convenient old world charm :)

Lovely property, large room and excellent hospitality. We stayed there as we had a concert to attend at Qudos stadium. Public transport was easy from Central Station to Homebush Station as the property was only a 5 minute walk. Strathfield train station was only about 8 minutes walk. I would definitely stay here again if we travel to Sydney.

Very sweet owner and the house is gorgeous, mostly very quiet. Perfect if you’re planning to go to Olympic park. The ceilings of the room/windows are huge and the beds are very comfortable.

The internet didn’t work and if you stay on the ground floor there is a chance of being right near the entrance/office, wasn’t aware this would be my room when booking but I would suggest staying on first floor because your window is directly in front of the ramp people use and if they choose to stand there to talk it can become very annoying. Doesn’t seem to be any staff or anyone around after a certain hour, makes it hard if you run out of something e.g toilet paper.

The room was spacious and the architecture of the building was outstanding.

While it wasn’t an issue for us, the bathroom tap had a small leak.

Classy decorations

The staff put me in a room with no Aircon (only fans) on a 28°c night, and told me that the price I paid is only good for room like that. I was tired on the day of check in, and had a busy schedule in the following days, so I just suffered for 3 nights of heat without bothering too much. Then I checked room amenities on Booking.com carefully, and realized that Aircon is supposed to be provided for ALL the rooms! I called the staff and he reluctantly changed a room with Aircon to me. But that was the final night only, and I didn't really get what I paid for.
