The Room was quiet and very private

The geographical location of The Pakhuys, as a resort per se, is excellent, i.e. most tourist attraction are easily accessible.

The cottage did not meet our expectations. The webb site states that the following are provided all though non-existent: a Hot tub; Free toiletries; a Safety deposit box; a TV (not that it mattered to us); a Private pool (this pool immediately adjacent to De Waboom cottage is open to all guests and on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon the resort's guests visited the pool, enjoying themselves while impeding on our privacy); a Fan (which we really missed as the noise produced by the AirCon made its use impossible). In addition, some of the crockery is worse for wear. On arrival the gas stove did not function nor any ice or ice holders in the refrigerator (in all fairness, both were attended to once reported). It appears as if there is no quality control by management re the state of readiness prior to the handing over of keys. In closure, the rustic ambiance of the cottage is appreciated, but some TLC would really add value.

Tolle Umgebung zum Wandern und Klettern, schöne Farm, sehr freundliche Menschen. Vielen Dank noch mal, dass wir auf eines der Zelte umbuchen konnten und auch danke für die gute Wanderempfehlung. Wir hatten zwar nur eine kurze aber sehr schöne Zeit bei Ihnen! Das hot tub unterm dem südlichen Sternenhimmel wird lange in Erinnerung bleiben!

Unser erstes Quartier Chalet Walboomhus war für uns enttäuschend. Gut, dass wir up-graden konnten!

The location was amazing and staff were helpful in many respects. Truly enjoyable visit.

The lights in the kitchen did not work for the duration of our stay.

No. Communication for check in and very poor signage on where to go. Bokmakerie cottage had no hot water and it couldn't be fixed on time. Blokhuys needs a kettle for the gas stove especially as load shedding increased.. No storage or shelf space for clothes in the bedrooms. Only 2 toilet rolls supplied for 4 people staying 5 days. Request for more toilet paper and clean towels was not delivered.

The location was absolutely beautiful ,I loved it. The facility met our needs. Will definitely recommend it

Unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower , and the heater did not work properly
