We loved our stay here! The location was great for seeing the Golden Circle, and was less than an hour from Reykjavik. The house was clean and tidy, and have a hot tub was nice after a lot of hiking. Absolutely no issues with the property and I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Iceland!

We loved our week in Iceland. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Being remote it was a brilliant place to see the Northern lights which was fantastic from the hot tub! Lots of exciting places to visit within 2hrs driving. Selfoss good for supermarket shopping only 20 mins away. The only improvement to the property would be for hot water and shower in the guest lodge, there were 7 adults in our party so there was often a queue for the shower. However, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen was really well equipped with a nice big fridge and dishwasher. Having all the essentials like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, soap, cleaning products, tea, coffee, salt pepper etc made it even better. Brynhidur was always quick at answering our questions and even left us birthday chocolates. A great place to stay -thank you so much!

We loved this little cottage; it was perfect for the three of us! The living area was bright and warm, the beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the showerhead felt like a massage. The kitchen was well stocked with all essentials & my husband was able to use the gas grill without issue a few times. We appreciated the washing machine and drying rack – that saved us miles on the rental car and time out of our day(s) trying to find a laundromat. We never got around to using the hot tub, so I cannot comment on that, but the community the cottage is in was so peaceful and quiet – no cars or trucks rumbling by or other noise distractions. We heard nothing but the birds and the breeze in the trees. We were very close to many of the highlights on the Ring Road – from Kerið Crater four miles away all the way out to the black sand beach in Vik, which was two hours away. We were able to see everything listed in “What’s Nearby” and much more. Brynhildur is a terrific host, answering our questions without delay. She has a gem in this cottage, and I would love the opportunity to rent again when we return to Iceland!

These cottages were perfect for our group of 8. Plenty of space, well appointed kitchen with all the amenities, great shower, and the washer made packing so much easier since we could wash clothes and bring less. Location was perfect for day trips all around the Golden Circle. We are still amazed at all we got to see and do. Brynhildur and Hermann were lovely host with excellent communication and great attention to our needs.

Great communication with the host. There was lots of room for the three of us, everything we needed, lots of privacy and a super jacuzzi. We enjoyed our stay there a lot. Yes we would stay there again next time

We stayed for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is very private and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and the coffee Nespresso pods were very much appreciated! We forgot our travel tempur-pedic topper, but we ended up not needing it because the beds were so comfortable. Be careful in the shower, I hit the handle while washing my hair and was surprised with cold water. I changed my position after that to prevent that from happening again. :) It was great to have a washer in the unit and handy to have the drying rack. Overall, we had enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again in then future! Thanks for everything!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce cottage idéalement placé. Nous étions une famille de 6, le cottage est très bien équipé et dans un endroit très calme. Nous avons bien apprécié le jaccuzi. Les propriétaires ont toujours été très disponibles tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons cette location.

Brynhildur was a great host and kept us informed along the way. Really loved the small gestures of home baked cookies and wine which made us feel very welcome! Cottage was very well equipped and strategically located for accessing all the golden circle attractions. Would really recommend. Had a lovely stay!

The cottage is pretty much as described. It is cosy with a spacious living area and veranda and is in a very peaceful area. The jacuzzi provides a touch of luxury and we enjoyed relaxing there at the end of a tiring day. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed. Minor gripes are the minimal hanging space in the bedrooms and the 2 minute drive along a dirt track to reach the property. The property is in a good location for visiting Golden Circle attractions as well as Reykjavik. We liked Hvergerdi which is close by. Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is great but is a 4 and a half hour drive one way.

Die Buchung war komplett unkompliziert und schnell erledigt. Der erste Eindruck vom Haus war sehr positiv. Es war sauber und die Einrichtungs- und Gebrauchsgegenstände ließen keine Wünsche offen. Für 10 Personen vielleicht ein bisschen eng, aber da wir nur zu sechst waren, war ausreichend Platz, um sich auch mal zurückziehen zu können. Der Außen-Whirlpool war beheizt und sauber. Vom Haus aus hat man keine allzu langen Anreisezeiten zu den bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten, sowie zum nächsten größeren Ort. Wir waren allesamt sehr zufrieden darum "Daumen hoch" und "5 Sterne".

We drove five hours north to the whale watching capital of the world ( saw dozens of humpbacks ), drove two hours to the east to walk on glaciers and ride on ATVs over black lava sand beaches , an hour from the ferry south to vestmannaer and a superb waterfall , An hour north to Snorkel between the tectonic plates, and about two hours from Rekjavik, blue lagoon, and the airport.

I appreciated the quick response and feedback I received when emailing. I also really appreciated that we were allowed to stay an additional night at last minutes’ notice. The host was very accommodating.
