The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice location, not a bad walk to beach and it was nice that they had a beach wagon to help transport stuff. I would definitely stay there again!

Returned for a second year, even better than last w new master bath. Clean, comfortable and lovely coastal decor right across from beach. Lots of space, everyone gets their own room and TV. Could sit forever overlooking the lagoon in backyard. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to stay. Beds are great and the kitchen was exceptional for space. We totally enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

Mara was super helpful with everything. The upstairs bedroom setup was perfect for our adult daughter and her little family. Our bedroom and the other King on the first floor both have their own bathrooms so were perfect for the rest of us. The walk to both the pool and the beach are shorter than other units farther south in Palmetto Dunes which made it easier for us. The unit is beautifully decorated without too many tchotchkes. Plenty of space and light!

We've stayed in other units in Captain's Cove, so the layout of the villa was familiar to us. This unit is nicely decorated and furnished with everything we needed. We had four littles with us, so all of our meals were eaten in. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals so that we could get babies to bed ontime. There was plenty of room in the upstairs king bedroom for a pack n play for our 11 mo grandson and two bassinets in either of the two first floor king bedrooms for our 6 mo grandson and granddaughter. The bunk room was perfect for our three year old granddaughter and could have accomodated several people if we had needed it to. We absolutely love the location, as you get the peacefulness and nature of the lagoon in back and quick access to the beach accross the street. This was really helpful when babies needed naps. We would definitely recommend this property to other families planning a vacation on the most beautiful place on earth.

Our second stay here was just as wonderful as the first. Beautiful condo, excellent location, very accommodating host--it was all we needed for a week of relaxation and fun. Thanks, Mara!

My wife, our children, my adult sister and our elderly parents came to spend a week for fall break. The property is in the best location on the island (Palmetto Dunes). With bike rentals, restaurants, general store, tennis/pickle ball courts, and easy access to the beach and quick bike rides to the best locations. The condo was immaculate and spacious. So welcoming and conducive to enjoying the environment. The canal in the back was peaceful and gave views of birds and occasional turtle or small alligator. Great setup for grilling outside. The owner was so helpful and very responsive. Easy checkin, easy checkout. We will definitely be back!! 5 stars all around!

This is our third year at this condo. We definitely love all that it offers - close to the beach and pool, comfortable mattresses, and accommodating host. The dishwasher is in need of repair and the deck was not safe for littles. But Mara was very attentive to have the deck replaced! Hope to return next year!!

This is by far the best place we have stayed in Palmetto Dunes. Loved the location on the lagoon but still close to the beach. The owner is responsive and helpful. The family wants to stay here again next year.

Beautiful townhome! Immaculate and cozy and perfect friends or families. Private entrance to stunning beach and great pool area with covered space to relax and enjoy games and snacks. First visit to SC and so happy we found this gem close to great food and fun things to do!

The condo was very nice & clean. It had a great location close to pool & beach. I loved the bike paths with the underground tunnel to Shelter Cove. The kids loved seeing the alligator & egret in the back waterway. The condo had all the amenities you could ask for. I would definitely rent it again.

Our stay was wonderful! Mara is an excellent host and responded to us whenever we had any issues. We've already booked it for a fourth year. The space is very clean, with minor scratches and dirt marks on doors. The kitchen provides guests with everything they need, including the outdoor closet with beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon. We are very pleased to hear the master bathroom is being renovated, Mara has been renovating items each year -- keeping it up to date!

Great vacation property in a wonderful community. Easy walking to the beach, the pool, tennis courts, pickleball, golf and general store as well as a restaurant.

Beautifully done, spacious townhome on peaceful lagoon yet only 2 minute walk to the sand. Easy to come back in for lunch. Plenty of sleeping space. We saw lots of wildlife from the back deck, great spot for a quiet morning coffee. Nice touches like bunk beds, beverage fridge, beach equipment. Enjoyed the Captains Walk pool. We are longtime fans of Captains Walk beach location, but if you’re looking for a little more room, this gem right across the street is a best bet!

We love Palmetto Dunes area but this was the best place we have stayed! So peaceful on the lagoon and easy walk to beach and pool. Place was large enough for our group of 9 and the kitchen perfectly stocked for any type of cooking you want to do. Will definitely stay here again.

The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect! It's only a 5 min walk to the beach and pool with kids. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck overlooking the lagoon. The walking paths were convenient, and the area is beautiful! The house was stocked with everything you need, including beach chairs and supplies. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Three generations enjoyed our vacation and stay at 491. The area is safe and secure and allowed our young adults to have their independence. The bike/walking paths and ramp to the beach allowed grandpa to get around easily, even with his walker. We liked being close to restaurants, grocery and shopping. All this AND the living space was beautiful and clean and had great spaces to sit outside to enjoy the weather and scenery. Thank you for making this a wonderful trip!

The accommodations were perfect and gave enough elbow room for all of us. We had a party of eight people that included a 9 month and 4 year old. The kitchen is well equipped that allowed us to have a few home cooked meals. We had access to beach chairs and a wagon to load beach item's in. A short walk to the beach made sunrise walk or first cup of coffee refreshing. We enjoyed being able to sit outside looking over the lagoon. I am glad we found this property in our search as we love the Palmetto Dunes area. The grounds are kept clean and the pool area are very nice. I was able to communicate with the owner (Marra) from asking questions before we committed to stay here to a small question while at the villa, she was great to deal with as was vrbo.

Our week at Mara's property at Captain's Cove was absolutely perfect. The location can't be beat - with the lagoon out back and the beach and pool across the road, grocery stores, patios, and parks within biking distance. The unit was clean, well supplied, and had everything we needed for an easy, relaxed vacation. We will definitely be back!

Right across from the beach and pool while still having private patio overlooking the canal. House was well maintained and the beds were comfortable. We even learned a new game - Racko!
