Everything was what I had hoped for. Magnificent surroundings, building and room. The staff and guests we met were exceptional. Holly in the spa and treatment department was amazing and excellent in her profession. The place was so peaceful and definitely a relaxing retreat. The staff throughout were so helpful and all went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful experience.

We loved everything really, but to highlight one improvement it would have been that we could not order room service to the bunker building.

On our last evening I was contacted by reception to advise that the breakfast location had been changed due to the hotel being booked by a car company, I excepted this however when we went down to breakfast the next morning I was told that it was only for the car company group and told to put the glass back, we were then told we could be seated and pay for breakfast. I had to explain that I had already paid and had received the call from reception to go for my breakfast in the bunkers bar, staff had not been informed and I felt that this was not the experience that I had paid for, We felt that we should not have been there. I ask to speak to the duty manager who advised that he would send me an email offering afternoon tea for two, this did not happen he said his name was Joe, We feel that this experience spoilt what could have been a lovely stay to a tainted one, If they are to let groups take over the hotel then they shouldn't take booking for other guests to be an inconvenience to them.

Aldwark Manor is first class and world class luxury. From the wonderful polite and friendly staff to the Manor itself absolutely wonderful. Soon as you drive up to the Manor, i was like, WOW! The decor, the cleanliness, the staff, facilities, the room was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was superb.

Ive really had to think hard about this as this place really is fantastic. If there was anything i would have to say the offer of a daily mini bus into york town would benefit. Its around 35 pounds each way by taxi into york which is 14 miles. However the surrounding country side is so beautiful with plenty of lovely walks.

the real slow service, the lack of vegan options. they did not really make a celebration of our anniversary! it was a bit disappointing.

Everything was very pleasant just what myself and wife wanted the building and surroundings where fantastic would recommend.

Nothing really just think all rooms should have a bath & shower. And probably let people choose to be seated where they want for dinner if tables are free.

Absolutely EVERYTHING!!! it’s so luxurious and during the day played Croquet along width a lovely walk along the grounds! 2 night stay wasn’t long enough! the food was outstanding as were the staff! Enjoyed being in the pool and relaxing! our 2nd stay here and will be returning!! The new owners have really gone over and above with the decor!! loved it Again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the room. The heavy blackout curtains and large flat-screen TV were noteworthy highlights, and the room was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured a stunning bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was of excellent quality. The tea and coffee facilities were also a thoughtful touch. I couldn't find any faults with the room, and it exceeded my expectations in every way.

1. Due to an unexpected change in our family's circumstances, we had to modify our original booking to accommodate our daughter, as we had no childcare available. However, we were disappointed with the hotel's handling of the situation as it contradicted their policy of providing a complimentary stay for children when two adults pay. Despite making the booking via Booking.com, we felt we were treated with less value, and the hotel attempted to charge an additional fee. It was only after I raised the matter with management that the fee was waived, but the poor experience had already left a negative impression on us before our arrival, which was regrettable. 2. The hotel's on-site restaurant was impressively decorated, with a beautiful tree bar area, but the food failed to match the ambiance. Our evening meal was average, and the prices were exorbitant. Despite ordering only a starter, a main course, and a drink each, the total cost was approximately £200. 3. We had booked a couples' treatment at the spa for about £200. However, the treatment was underwhelming, and the treatment rooms were outdated, with uncomfortable treatment beds and old, cheap, and hard beauty robes. The towels were reminiscent of old-fashioned NHS styles, and the giant, one-size-fits-all plastic flip-flops were unappealing. Unlike other spas I have visited, I was unable to enjoy a glass of champagne near the pool/spa area as alcohol was not served, and I had to walk to the main hotel in my wet costume and robe to get a drink. The entire pool and spa facilities appeared run-down, outdated, and unkempt, and the ladies' changing rooms were also unclean and dated.O Overall, we had no complaints about our stunning room, but the spa and pool facilities seemed disconnected from the main hotel, and the advertising and prices did not reflect the current condition, which was disappointing.

Breakfast was delicious. Every palette catered for. I did ask what the maker of the natural yogurt was? I have never tasted such a creamy natural yogurt. The waitress was going to send me a picture of the maker. (Would love to know. I must try and find it)

I didn’t like the Hollandaise sauce. But that was no reflection on the quality of the food, that’s just personal taste.
