Hotel is beautiful and the room very comfortable and the breakfast was great with good service

Our dinner and service in Jack’s Brasserie was not up to standards we would expect in Bern, my husband’s veal zurichoise was watery and the vegetables served were frozen.

Check in was quick, my request to put a babybed was fullfilled, room was big and the bed and pillows very comfortable.

night service came way too late. We stayed with a little baby. Ringing the bell at 20:45 at night to prepare rooms for night servicing was just way too late. Furthermore, as breakfast was not included, my husband and I wanted to enjoy breakfast with our friends at the hotel. Our friends were rejected in the morning as they were not staying in the hotel. They had 2 little children and had to wait for us downstairs at lobby. Very obviously we did not have breakfast at the hotel. By the way, the breakfast room was half-empty, so it cannot be said that it was full and there was no space. Given that breakfast was NOT included I do not see, why my friends were rejected.
