Beautiful house with everything we needed. View was fantastic

This house was the perfect set up for a family vacay and absolutely lovely. You can relax at the pool while looking at the beautiful dunes and ocean just steps away. It was so nice to be so close to the ocean you can just go back and forth as needed. The owner equipped this house with everything you could possibly imagine. We even had a deer visit us in the back yard. You won’t regret renting this place.

We had our four children, three partners, and three grandchildren for a week. The location is perfect. The house easily accommodated the twelve of us. The rooms are spacious and the views are beautiful. Our two granddaughters, seven and four, can't stop talking about the stay. They loved the beach and the pool. We have been to Hilton Head Island multiple times.This time we did far fewer excursions and meals out because of the setting.
We highly recommend Ocean's Gem.

Ocean's Gem was the perfect house for our family vacation. The location on Hilton Head is great and convenient to many restaurants and shopping. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay a good one. My family enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the close proximity to the beach. We would definitely stay at Ocean's Gem again in the future.

Great spot on the beach. Pool and hot tub located perfectly in the backyard so u didn’t have any leaves ever getting in the pool . House comfortably sleeps 8 . Only complaint would be maybe some cushioned lounge chairs .

This property's owner has decorated this amazing house in a manner that made us feel we were in a mansion. The furnishings and appliances are high dollar items; not the normal rental property items. This is the 40th year we have rented a beach property for our family's week together. I can confidently say this is the nicest and best located property in which we have stayed. Highly recommend Ocean's Gem.

We have visited many beaches along the Carolina coasts, but this was took the cake! The house was beyond perfect. The short walk to the beach made it easy to come back for breaks with the kids. The pool is outstanding. You could be laying in the pool or on the pool deck but still feel like your on the beach, by the ocean. The house was very clean, and communication was quick and easy between us and the rental company. We have already booked to go back next year. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is wanting a quiet family getaway!

This is the first time we have been on the ocean - all other places were second row or more. Loved it! The kitchen was well equipped. We laughed at how instructions where everywhere and even where everything went in the kitchen, but it really made it easy to find things. As beautiful as this home is, I don't blame the owner. I, particularly loved the master bedroom. Had a sleep bed which was also motorized, which I have at home. Was impressed with dealing with Destination. Also, first time ever that you could actually talk to the owner. We have a whole family vacation on Hilton Head every other year and unless the size of our family grows too much, we will consider coming back to 13 Man of War.

This was my second time staying at this fabulous ocean front beach house. Everything about this house is wonderful. Breathtaking ocean views from sunrise to sunset and amazing star gazing too. We saw many dolphins while walking the beach searching for shells and birds. This house is not only beautiful but every comfort and amenity is provided and is truly first class. It is obvious this owner takes great pride in her home as it is meticulously maintained. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to vacation on Hilton Head Island.

This was my second time staying at this fabulous ocean front beach house. Everything about this house is wonderful. Breathtaking ocean views from sunrise to sunset and amazing star gazing too. Spectacular - A perfect Christmas at the beach
This home was nothing short of incredible. The whole experience at the house provided us with quite a memorable Christmas. The amenities are truly first class and are exactly what one desires in a 5 star beach house. The pool and spa were hassle free and stunning, the upstairs rooms provided breathtaking views and sunlight in the morning, and the living quarters of the home are great for a large group to sit back relax and spend time together. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a vacation on Hilton Head Island.

This property is unbelievable! The ocean views make for the most beautiful sunrises. The Ocean's Gem is properly named as it provides luxurious amenities in a environment that could not be more relaxing. No detail was overlooked in the planning of this beautiful home. I will not soon forget my stay at the Ocean's Gem and would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Oceans Gem Indeed
This is such a beautiful home. Grand, elegant, stunning ocean front location yet warm, welcoming and homey. From the moment we walked in we all felt at home. There are so many unique features. Our favorite was the large suspended TV which could be turned for viewing in any direction. The lap of luxury is where you will find yourself here.
We will definitely be back.

Oceans Gem
Wow! What a house. This house was perfect for our needs. Our group consisted of 5 Golf and Beach loving couples. We had a fantastic time. The home is beautifully furnished and has all top of the line amenities. The outdoor area is why this home is called an Ocean Gem. Marvelous view of the ocean and watching the sunrise is nothing short of spectacular. The infinity pool with hot tub and the party bar complete with gas grill is just more icing on the cake. The only thing that is wrong with this house is that I don't own it!!! Highly recommend.

Spectacular
This secluded beauty had everything promised..and more. While eating in the dining room we spotted a deer near the backyard. While biking one evening we saw a male and female anhinga roosting by a nearby lagoon while an alligator floated by. Green Heron, osprey, kingfisher were also spotted. Very little traffic and great biking trails. The home was comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, the kitchen well equipped, the fixtures and appliances top notch and conveniently located.

Our Dream Vacation
We had a great stay on Hilton Head island. The best part? The home we stayed in. Yes, "home" not "house", not "rental". A lovely, home. Well appointed, beautifully maintained and ON the beach. I so enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony off our bedroom on the second floor. You could see for miles and it was a beautiful quiet moment each morning. We spent our days walking the beach and exploring the island. Because we love to cook and the kitchen and outdoor grilling area were great we often bought fresh seafood and wine and headed "home" to cook. Our nights usually were spent curled up on a comfy couch watching a movie and then a dip in the pool or hot tub before bed. Will we return? Yes!

Amazing Beach Villa at Palmetto Dunes Resort
Staying at Ocean's Gem has been an amazing experience for the past 3 years. From the responsiveness of the rental company to the champagne greeting you on your arrival. You could not want for anything more. The villa is very clean and well-maintained. The ocean views throughout the villa are breathtaking and every room is well appointed. The open layout of the house makes it a perfect place to entertain. The outdoor kitchen is great, so much so, we go out to eat less, it is just so hard to leave the beautiful villa. I would highly recommend staying at Ocean's Gem. There are so many activities at Palmetto Dunes. You can take your pick or do it all, from renting bikes, playing tennis and golf, going to the gym, playing bocce, swimming, the list goes on and on.

This is a beautiful property. It has amazing views from the living room & 3 of the 5 bedrooms. It is very clean & well maintained. The home is beautifully furnished. The owner is great to work with, & I would definitely stay in this property again & would recommend it to friends & family.
