impersonal since the manager just comes to check you in. you need to call them so they know to come. Breakfast and pool is quite a hike up the hill accross the busy street. Once you get up there the view is beautiful.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The hosts were kind and helpful, the maid very thorough. The host even lent us a beach umbrella when we went to Falasarna and Elafonisi (both very well worth the visit!!!) The breakfast was simple but we had everything we needed, the lady there was always smiling. The accomodation has a lovely small garden, where we could shower off the salt and sun-bathe in peace while the children played hide-and-seek. Thank you for the experience.

The only thing was the noise level. We had rooms in the house right next to the sea (which was breathtaking btw), but on the other side was the rather busy main road that was pretty noisy most of the time - even late at night. Maybe better sound insulation would solve the issue. I gave lower rating on the beds, because they were a bit too soft for our taste, but that is a question of preference.

The property was very clean with extremely acommodating staff. Maria especially helped us to check im late at night when our flight was delayed and extended our check out time. Location wise, the hotel located is right on the beach and couple minute walk to the pool and the bus stop. Overall, it was a great trip, for a great value of money.

Katos Stalos is one of the quieter towns in the area, i’d recommend staying closer to Chania or Agia Marina if more lively scene is preferred - taking the bus to Chania or Agia Marina every night was quite exhausting!

It is a very nice place. Quite modern, all needed equipment is there in the room. It should be more clear that part of the property is at the beach and other up hill around 150m away. Normally it would not be a big deal, but if you want to use a pool or restaurant it is a bit of climbing. Not ideal for everyone. Beside this all is really great. Good location in more quiet area. Nice beach with pig backyard directly at the sea side. Very nice and welcome owner and staff. Thank you 😀

This was the first time for us in Crete and we had a very good experience at Hermes studios. There is the option to either select the beach studios (literally on stalos beach front) or just across the road in the main apartments, about a couple of minutes walk to the beach. We stayed at the beach studios, which are slightly smaller rooms. The room was comfortable and had all the basics for a self catering accommodation. The toilet was new and looked great. Super clean. Good pressure in the shower. Local amenities and shops are nearby. The owners are very nice and helpful. Wi-Fi is really good. Swimming pool included in the price (it’s located close to apartments across the street, along with where breakfast is served).

There needs to be the option of double beds fot couple rather than twin beds next to each other which is not comfortable. There is the option to check in online which is very useful but resulted in us having to chase the owners for a while before being able to get the keys. A smaller manned reception closer to the beach studios would resolve the issue.

The location was great , we could just walk out the door and in a few steps we were on the beach , we had outdoor showers to wash the sand of our feet when coming back to the room, and the beach was nice, sandy , with shallow water. We also had a nice yard with grass and trees and we could hang out there on the sunbeds, or playing with the cat. Breakfast was very nice and it was served on the terrace by the pool with great views , the staff was very great and helpful , and the rooms were cleaned every day . Thank you Maria and the rest of the staff for everything , you are doing a great job ! 😊

Everything was excellent at Hermes Beach Studios, so that it guarantees a truly relaxing holiday! I really enjoyed the studio with sea view, it felt like sleeping on the beach with the sound of the waves, and having all comfort and spotless cleaningness which was important for me. Being able to switch between sea and swimming pool which is only a couple of minutes away, was also great. Besides this, my thanks to the personnel and the owner making sure anything need is taken care of, especially Maria at reception who assisted with very useful advice and arrangement even before the arrival - it was a pleasure to then meet you and stay at Hermes, hope to return very soon!

Wonderful place, next to beach. You can hear the sea from your room. The bus to Chania is just a few steps away. Maria and the whole staff are super friendly.

- the hosts are super helpful and respond fast to any questions - the studio is equipped with all you need - the bed is big and comfortable - the AC is quiet and does not blow directly above the bed - the small garden in front of the studio is well-maintained and there are sun beds which you can use - the studio is right on the beach and the beach itself is sandy, spacious and with panoramic views - there are nice restaurants and beach bars within 5-minute walk

Wi-fi internet is not that good

Perfect location if you wanna stay close to the beach. Super nice staff, especially Maria is so nice and always trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Pretty loud air condition, you can also hear the street in the rooms upstairs.

You are literally on the beach! Perfect for sunrise and late night swim. We took the room with sea view and it was amazing. You can see the sunrise from the bed in the morning. Also a 10 min drive to Chania for a night out and Kolymvari port for fresh fish restaurants. The owner will recommend a local restaurant for authentic Cretan cuisine, which is very good.

Excellent stay, check In was super easy and the place was right on the beach! Beautiful clean room with lovely extra touches. Hermes and his wife couldn’t have been more helpful and let us stay past check out because no one had booked our room! 10/10 highly recommended

The view - the place is located almost on the beach. The service provided - the towels were changed every two days (or more often is=f required). The hosts were very attentive all way through the stay; on the last day it was suggested I can stay extra hours if needed, as my flight was later in the evening. WiFi was outstanding!

As I was at the end of the season, most local shops were closed, so had to drive a bit further to buy groceries.
