The hotel was changing hands management wise the weekend we were there. Our room was small but adequate but the fridge did not work. But as soon as the new owners took over a brand new fridge was installed. They were also in the process of upgrading all the showers and furnishings and decoration. It is a lovely, friendly, perfectly located hotel right at the east end of Cabarete Bay, a stone's throw from the supermarket. What it lacked in modern decor over that weekend it more than made up in charm and the new owners have great plans to make it even more comfortable.

To be honest the only things which were a bit tatty were being changed beneath our feet that weekend. The new owners could not be more helpful, more accommodating and more intent on making sure every guest has a great holiday. The restaurant is cute Dominican style and well frequented. There is a pool and jacuzzi in the hotel next door which you can use for the price of a drink or lunch so I didn't miss the pool. The jacuzzi was a bit dirty but was getting a makeover as well.

Very friendly staff and helpful, especially the guys from the reception. The location of this place is very strategic, close to groceries store and the beach. But they need to improve the cleaning, and the hotel needs some renovation. It is on sale maybe they don't care so mucho anymore.

The kitchen and cooking utensils could be cleaner.

The hotel has amazing staff and our room had a view of the water. it is at the eastern end of cabarete beach and was very close to all the shops and restaurants. the bed was comfortable and the a/c was necessary.

the screen door on our balcony popped off right when we got there. the shower didn’t drain and the shower head was old and didn’t spray well. there was a lot of long, black hair around the bathroom from previous guests. the “jacuzzi” was not appealing in any way. this hotel looks better in photos than in person. honestly, it felt too expensive but maybe that’s cabarete.

Very close to the beach and to the center, comfortable room with AC. Perfect for tourists who understand that they are traveling to a developing country.

Cold shower that could be renovated, breakfast more expensive and not as good as what you would get in town.

Cozy home away from home. So close to the ocean but tucked away a bit from the hustle. The people here are real and welcoming with good spirits. The food here is amazing!
