Everything was perfect, the host was amazing and extremely helpful and great. The place was in a nice quiet neighborhood and only a short walk from the surf beach. The place itself was really clean with a nice terrasse, outside area and a pool, very relaxing. Every place has its own kitchenette

Babette, the owner was absolutely amazing from the start to the end of our trip. We were 4 girls travelling around the country and she helped us get from the bus top to the hotel, made sure we were able to get food from the local supermarket and arranged travel to our next destination. The hotel itself is beautiful and perfect for relaxing or as a base for everything cabarete has to offer such as surfing. there’s a BBQ for everyone to use, laundry, a pool and the beach is a short walk away as well as a food truck market up the road. Would stay here again and thanks so much for your hospitality!

This place has a real carribbean vibe, the children loved the pool! We loved the garden! Its close to Cabarete beach and kite beach, but it’s outside of Cabarete in a calm and quiet area! Here you can hear the nature!

The room was not very comfortable.

The hostel is a very nice place. It has a swimming pool which is good. The manager was helpful with sorting things out as well and picked me up from my bus trip.

The location wasn't great. It was in between cabarate Town centre and sosua so isn't really located close go anything apart from the beach. There are kitchens in the room which means that there is no communal area for people to meet and socialise. I went there as a solo traveller and stayed in a hostel but didn't meet anyone. In my experience the kitchen area is the best place to meet people in a hostel. I was also told when I arrived that no guests were allowed and no reason was given for this. This was the most disappointing thing I found of my stay. I met no one to talk to in the hostel and the people I met outside of my stay weren't allowed back to my hostel to socialise around the pool which no one did. If you arent a surfer type person I wouldn't recommend staying here. I wouldn't say this is a place for your regular solo traveller. I didn't get that solo travel vibe there. More of a place for surfer types which isn't what I thought it would be.

This is a special and wonderful place.

The location is unreal, a beautiful walk to the beach where all the waves are. The sea is so warm, surfing in a swimsuit was such a treat. Babette our host was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed- which was alot as we were travelling with a 1 year old and a 3 year old. The accommodation was enclosed, which was perfect for small children. Short taxi trip to caberete where there are loads of bars and lovely resteraunts on the beach. Or coconuts resteraunt was also lovely, just a short walk across the beach from hooked. Perfect spot for a family surfing holiday. Thank you so much Babette, Felix and team

Nothing bad to mention

Amazing stay at Hooked! We were hosted by Babette who is a very nice and attentive person. We felt at our ease immediately. The room was very spacious and the bed huge which is a good thing when your toddler is sleeping with you :) Kitchen corner is very well furnished, you can properly cook there! The terrace and hamac were very cool. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool very nice. Surroundings are amazing !

I loved the property! It was a little secluded which was a benefit but also made things a challenge too. It all worked out perfectly and the host was incredibly helpful!

Babette is an amazing host!

It is a lovely place to stay with nice equipped apartment rooms. Babette, who manages the place, was great. She took care of everything and was always available. Even though I travelled alone I met very nice people there, so it feels like family.

The whole area felt very cozy and quiet. Walter & Jeanette were very friendly hosts which I always appreciate more than the facility itself. The rooms are set up thoughtfully with great information. It is in a quiet area close to the beach and there is a lovely bakery nearby.

The place is very beautiful and clean. Walter and Jeanette our hosts were just so kind and helpful. They were very available and gave us good advices to visit the area. The place is well situated just 10 minutes walking distance from a wonderful beach. Go there without any hesitation, you will love it !

Everything was fine

Hooked is a great place- clean, safe, welcoming. It offers a well-kept garden with lots of plants and a cute pool, the room is spacious and never gets too hot. Every room has its own patio with a hammock to chill in, dining table, lounge chairs etc. So you’ll have everything you need and more. I loved that you can drink the tap water due to their filter system. Very ecological. It’s just a short walk to the beach and perfect if you like to surf. There is a cool spot with food trucks nearby, also a bakery and even some shopping options. Getting a ride to the center of Cabarete is cheap and easy as well. Our host Babette is doing an exceptional job! She is extremely kind and responsive and will help you in any way she can. We arrived late so she got us some groceries, took us to the store one day, answered questions etc. Also the gardeners, security people, the maid- everyone is just nice and helpful. Gracias por todo! We’ll come back :)
