The neighborhood is run down as is the house. Lightbulbs didn't work, sheets looked questionable, bathroom was dirty. When we arrived there were numerous dogs running around and the entire building smelled like animal urine. We stayed for 5 mins before deciding to cut our losses on the non refundable cost and found somewhere else to stay. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

This is similar to an Air BnB. There are 3 rooms upstairs. There was a shared open lounge with massive TV and a kitchen with large shared fridge and assorted cooking and crockery equipment. We had not realised til after buying some food that needed to go into the large oven that the oven control knob was missing; however, there was a microwave sized oven that we were able to cook the food in, in relays. There was a dishwasher but no washing machine. A large pile of clean towels was in the lounge for using. The 2 smaller rooms looked to be small and shared a bathroom. We had the good sized ensuite room at the back - and which must have been cooler (our first few days were very hot). There was no a/c, just open windows with mosquito netting, but Yan said we could borrow the tower fan from the unused lounge. There was a very large bed, a large walk in wardrobe/ closet, comfortable large sofa and big coffee table. We were not able to make the TV work but managed with the wifi. Reviews had written of the place being unclean. The main areas were fine but, for instance, the lightbulbs inside the big bedside lamp, and area between the bedside table and wall, had thick dust and which we cleaned ourselves. We never met our hostess Yan, though she responded to most of our messages. She and her family apparently lived in a bungalow across the yard. This is quite a long way from Downtown. There is one very nearby small convenience shop and all other shops or cafés etc, are at last a 10 minute walk up the hill opposite or along McGill St to the junction at its end. There is parking on the street outside. We had chosen here partly as reviews said that the no. 4 bus ran straight to Downtown Vancouver from virtually outside the property. It does - a depressing route through a considerable section of homeless people living on the rundown streets.

Bed sheets and pillows were dirty and had stains on them. I had to sleep over the covers. Poor communication close to check in time.

La tranquilidad del barrio donde está ubicada la casa. El transporte al centro de la ciudad. La parada de autobús está muy cercana. Al lado de la casa se encuentra un supermercado con productos básicos. Aunque no vi a la propietaria, la comunicación por medio de la mensajería de Booking fue rápida y cordial. El precio es bueno.

La casa reúne condiciones mejorables para el alojamiento. Se necesita una limpieza más a fondo de todas las instalaciones. La ropa de cama y toallas están muy desgastadas. Aunque está anunciado en Booking, ya no realizan el servicio de recoger o llevar al aeropuerto.

Good location - easy bus link between property and downtown Vancouver. Large room with ensuite, huge bed and very comfortable. Tea and coffee in kitchen. Microwave/kettle/hob/oven available to use. Lots of shampoo and body wash provided. Early check in allowed. Good price.

Needs a deep clean - dusty and hairs around. Mugs/cups not clean. No plug for bath, so even though it's advertised as a bath, it can't be used. Wifi slow. Couldn't work out how to change TV channel. Host asked for 10/10 rating.

Mattress have some large dips on the right side so not as comfortable as I'd like

This was a really lovely place to stay at the end of our Canadian trip. It's a little out of the centre but easily reached by an uber. The communal kitchen is a great idea.

It was a little difficult to find parking near the house.

Close to the cruise lines, nice neighborhood, felt safe to walk around.

I couldn't find the controls for the main TV or fireplace.

Nice location out of downtown. Nice bus to North Vancouver for hikes and waterfront. Bus to downtown as goes through some jarring areas. Uber around $15 downtown. The room had a comfortable bed but was very warm room. But overpriced for what you get.

Wasn't the cleanest, small bathroom shared between two rooms so if someone is having shower bathroom is off limits. Room very warm which would be good for winter maybe. Host pushy to give 10/10 rating.

Good proximity to Grouse Mountain, Stanley Park and Lynn Canyon.

On the main road (noisy), kitchen cupboards poorly stocked and pretty dirty. Cleaning products left around on tables. Back yard has lots of rubbish strewn around. We tidied up the bin area as we found a condom wrapper on the ground next to the bins. TV in lounge room not working. Surprise visit from downstairs tenants (not secure).

I think she charge too moch for a little tiny room and shared bath. no matter where you go, it cost $20 uber.

Quaint little house with shared living and kitchen. We had our own bathroom which was nice. Access was easily gained through code sent by owner

Found the floor was sticky and rules were to take shoes off. Flip flops were provided but I went in sock feet and found I stuck to the floor and that my socks ended up black. Was unsure of the tea towels in the kitchen cupboard as they were not folded and felt crunchy.

Price. Comfortability

Best shower I’ve ever had while travelling! Easy check in, cosy lounge and tidy room. Short walk to park with beach and pool

Mattress is lumpy with big hole in it so sleep along wall side (room c) All doors squeak so impossible to be quiet for those arriving late or leaving early. Please oil the hinges!

It was peaceful

Shared kitchen had everything that you need. Large balcony to have breakfast on. Good size room with private bathroom. Quiet location but with corner shop 1 minute away. Main shops, bars and restaurants 10 minutes walk. Bus stop outside for easy and cheap transport to Vancouver.
