location- ideal for exploring Funchal. The big balcony which had a table chairs sun loungers and clothes dryer. It had sun in early morning then sun all afternoon. Views over the marina were great as also was the view over the gardens opposite. The apartment was large, had good amenities and everything was provided. Security was good.

The shower head needs changing- heat and power we’re fine but the head was dated so did not give the experience which would fit with the rest of the amenities.

Great location, great hostess who went out of her way to meet us upon arrival. Superb view.

Location was excellent, handy for lots of amenities, cafes, etc

Apartment seemed a bit tired, and issues with the lifts. 1 was out of order and another only went to 4th, and we were on 7th. Also as it faced the sun most of the day, it got exceptionally hot and humid, even with curtains closed. The bathroom had some mould round shower enclosure and the spray head needed cleaned or replaced. Also occasionally there was a dank smell from the toilet.

The location is superb,the apartment sits high up with fantastic views of both the city, mountains and the sea. It has one of the best balcony’s you will ever get as it wraps around the apartment. The apartment it’s self is very clean and has everything you would want to make it a home from home. Maria is a great host and is always on hand to help if anything is wrong. We have booked for next year same time and are looking forward to it already.

The location is amazing! Perfect for touring the entire island. Very enjoyable to sit on the balcony and view both the activities at the port and the beautiful gardens. Having a secure place to park our rental car was ideal.

Perfect location incredibly central to Funchal, clean and modern apartment and had everything we needed. Free car parking was very helpful. The host was so kind to post our lost keys back to Ireland. A very enjoyable stay in Madeira.

Nothing - everything was perfect

Wonderful flat with a huge terrace and with amazing views on the sea and mountains. Best location to live in Funchal as you have everything in walking distance (mall, cafe, restaurants, ...). Still there is very little noise going on. As for the equipment of the flat, it has pretty much everything you need. Maria, who handed me over the keys, responded always very quickly. Hope to come back for longer one day!

Using the key in the elevator is a bit tricky and takes some time to learn, but once figured out it is not a problem.

the shower wasn’t great. the shower piece isn’t working properly so the water comes out of it at different pressures and different directions.

The location and view are amazing. Apartment is bright with big windows looking onto the park and the port. Lovely big terrace.

Wi-Fi and shower not as good as home but not a big issue.

Good location. We had everything we needed. There was a parking in the same building.

It’s a little bit hard to get to the parking from apartment. But it is very good that you have parking place in the center of the Funchal.

Extraordinary location. The very long, L-shaped, balcony which provided incredible views of the port, the park across the street, the city and the mountains. The huge (10 foot wide, floor to ceilling) windows in the living room and the bedroom. The honey cake provided by our hostess, which was the best we had ever had in Madeira. The high security building.

As another reviewer mentioned, it is unfortunate that those wonderful huge windows face west, and from late morning on the sun beats on them. The single air conditioning unit in the bedroom kept that area cool but the living room was unusable most of the day as the blackout curtains had to be used to keep it comfortable. Strongly suggest the addition of a second air conditioning unit. Also, as another reviewer mentioned last month, there is a minor water leak in the dining area ceiling which had shorted out the lighting and a battery lamp on the table was the only source of light there. This also made it tricky to enter the unit in the dark as the working light switch nearest the door was in the kitchen and you had to navigate around the dining room table in the dark when you entered in order to reach it.

The apartment is in the perfect location, 15 minutes walking distance to the old town, 3 minutes to the nearest restaurants and shops. The view from the balcony is stunning overlooking the mountains, city, and the marina. The flat was very clean, comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay in Funchal. Maria was very helpful recommended few places to eat, the whole check-in process was very smooth and quick.

Close to restaurants and shops

We loved the location. The balcony. The views. The bedroom. The lounge. The peace and quiet.

I struggled to come up with something but eventually came up with the following! Because there is no dishwasher some of the cutlery etc was less than 100% clean. The bathroom is a little tired but only needs a new shower head and washbasin tap. Having said that it is still a wonderful place to stay.
