Everything was awesome till we left

The valet parking men bought our car round and said they’d put our luggage in the boot for us whilst we had breakfast. We stopped at Merser thank goodness, only to realise we had no luggage!!!

The location and facilities were great.

While the hotel is clean it's very musty smelly like the carpet inside the rooms and out needs a good clean. Also don't think you should charge $10 to deliver room service and also $22 to watch movies both should be free of charge.

Everything. 5star!!! First time, overnight stay with my 8 & 9yr old children and it was a beautiful, will definitely stay again. We especially enjoyed the "everything you need in one place" vibe. We left our room once to swim in the rooftop pool which was so clean and the jet bubble spa is so warm/hot 🥰 I enjoyed a massage at Chuan Spa which I have to say to anyone staying at Cordis, whether short or long, you MUST treat yourself to something, anything on the Spa treatment list at Chuan, simply divine - staff, treatments and the Spa itself. They have sitting services available for children, so convenient. Beautiful yummy food with a wide variety and range on offer. I observed the buffet breakfast earlier and it looked amazing 😍 Happy we never had to leave to eat as we ordered in-room service dinner & breakfast which was our preference but will try out next time. The in-room service was so prompt, and the staff so lovely. Our room was clean, and so well equipped with all the necessities plus more. Kids enjoyed snacks from the minibar and a couple movies available for purchase on the TV....great variety of entertainment options on there too. Multiple in-wall plug sockets and USB ports were so convenient for all the devices needing charging etc. Robes and slippers and lovely. They had someone pick our luggage up from our room and bring it to the front lobby. We went and got our car and met them out front where they helped load it into my boot. It was pouring so that was extra appreciated. Oh I could go on but I'll end here with - stay at the Cordis if there's availability, you will not regret it!

Very comfortable beds, larger than expected TV, great location, nice dining options.

There were not enough staff at the front desk, meaning delays for check in and check out. Each day my room was serviced but drinking water was not restocked, meaning I had to request this each afternoon. The swimming pool was so busy it meant I couldn't really have a swim, just a dip!

It was an anticlimax to be honest Last time there was drilling and kept me awake all night, this time the tv remote didn’t work and it took an hour to resolve 3 phone calls later it was finally resolved.

Checkin was terrible! Took 40mins to sort out our 8 rooms. They had mixed all our information up and had 1 guest on 3 rooms even though we have provided the information correctly twice. To do it again at Checkout after a long drive was terrible Then we used Express Checkout and was charged $85, and I still have no idea why! Have enquired twice and no response.

The room and stay an all they amminoties were of a high standard and the staff were exceptional

Very good value for money, particularly against other hotels in Auckland. Spacious rooms and access to many facilities onsite (particularly where it's not in the heart of the city). The hotel provides good comfort - where we only needed 1 nights' accommodation. Staff were friendly.

Room and bathroom could have been cleaner. Some of the facilities seemed a bit tired for a 5* and isn't a luxury hotel, but didn't bother us where our stay was short. They are such a big hotel that wait times for simple things took a long time. We waited 1.5 hours to get a plug for the bath to bathe our baby. Another hour to get a portable cot (despite this being on our booking). Long check in/out times, simply due to how busy the hotel was.

The stay was great, we were upgraded for my wife's birthday which I appreciate. The valet was a little clunky. waiting in the lobby for the car, not being informed when it arrives. Recommend a system where the ticket number is called out/displayed on arrival.

There is a an hourly shuttle service that takes you to and from queens street which was helpful.

The hotel needs to hire more cleaning staff as it is impacting the quality of their services, we headed to the hotel from the airport at 3:45 pm but our room was not ready, I gave the girl at the check-in desk a copy of my booking and she was like “what am I supposed to do with this ?” !!! we had to wander aimlessly in the streets of a new city for 3 hours in cold weather waiting for a message that they promised they’d send once our room is ready but it never came! I lost one of my duty free shopping bags in the process! Our room was not cleaned daily and we had to sit with our overflowing dustbins and wet towels. On our last day, we highlighted to the staff that there was spilled juice on the lobby floor, we stayed in the lobby for 35 minutes waiting for our taxi and the spill was not cleaned! And two guest almost tripped on the slippery surface! I don’t like writing negative reviews as I understand the amount of work required to run any establishment, but for a 5 star hotel, this was simply unacceptable.

Location is about it

The front staff we met couldn’t check us in, we were charged for our stay when we checked in and again when we left. They still haven’t refunded us over 1000 for our stay. There were way too many cars, we literally had to retrieve our own car three times and park it because it was too busy. It seems management does not care about their staff, more about money. I travelled up for a conference, one they were planning to host there, I’ve told them not too, not 5 stars!!! More like a 3

Loved that it is away from down-town or Viaduct district, yet is still close to it.

Great location and great facilities. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and great a la cart restaurant on site.

Valet parking was expensive at $55 per night plus you need to give more than 30 mins notice to get access to your car. Also the shower curtains make the bathroom smell very bad they need to be changed more regularly.

The breakfast was fabulous! Very thankful to get an up graded room. Staff were amazing and went the extra mile. Shuttle into town was fabulous!

The cleanliness of the pool. Large clumps of dark hair were sitting up near the drains in the spa area for 2 days in a row! Was rather off putting.
