This hotel was so cozy, clean, comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommend it. The breakfast was amazing!

This hotel is a little out of town (like, maybe a 7 minute drive, which is nothing, really) so it's very quiet, which was great. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, the facilities & room were comfortable, & the staff for friendly. Breakfast was included & it was a very generous selection. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Not too sure I can think of any negatives. Nothing really worth mentioning, anyway. The walls on the rooms seemed a little thin as we could hear our neighbours conversations, but it was nothing that kept us awake at night.

The room was very comfortable as well as having a spacious bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and they had a great breakfast buffet with fruits, baked goods, and traditional Icelandic foods. Staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed the installations at the site.

Hotel Katla is outside of Vik, about five minutes away. We have previously traveled to Iceland before and have always stayed in Vik so we were a little surprised it was outside of the town when we were heading to the hotel but it was not a longs way and you could quickly drive up and down the main road to Vik. The Hotel feels more private and helps getting a good night's rest.

Beautiful hotel with lots of different outbuildings that all seem to have a beautiful view attached. Great spa access with an heated outdoor tub, which I can imagine are great for looking out for the northern lights! The perfect distance from Vik as we like it a little quieter. Great big windows too!

We had to leave at 6am to head over to snowmobiling in the south east on Vatnajökull, so we were unable to make breakfast - I’d have liked this to start a little earlier than 7am considering a lot of people use Vik as a stopping point too! But the hotel is incredibly beautiful :)

Facilities were clean, bed was warm and comfortable, bathroom and shower were good. Breakfast was great, coffee at breakfast was much better than the instant in the room.

The outdoor pool is great, the hotel was overall very nice and comfy.

El hotel en si esta muy bien, desayuno muy muy variado, jacuzzi pequeño para la cantidad de gente que hay, siempre estaba lleno, las chicas de recepción hablaban español, cosa que se agradece. Habitación muy grande y el baño privado muy bonito.

Lo que menos me gusto fue el precio, lo vi muy elevado para lo que ofrecen.

Mooie ruime kamers, mooie ligging, vriendelijk personeel en het ontbijt was super. Zoveel keus.

Perfect hotel!! Spa on site for free and an excellent breakfast! The rooms are not big but nicely decorated and very comfortable beds

We booked and paid for a room for 2 adults and one child, 11 years old. When we arrived at the hotel there was a queen size twin bed in our room but no extra bed or sofa bed for our son. When asking for an extra bed they said they would charge us an extra 65 Euros but it did not matter as they did not have any spare extra beds. This was very annoying. When I book and pay for a room for 3 people, I expect 3 beds.

1. The shower in the toilet was very dirty. Slimy floor n wall, it was yellowish and obviously it was not scrubbedfor a long time. 2. For the price, no room slippers
