The location is great, very close to the airport and highways but still secluded enough for a relaxing time. The restaurants were lovely with a wide variety to choose from and very accommodating for the kids too!

The hotel did not book the Golf T-off times as per my emails. I ended up playing only once.

this is a wonderful hotel for those who love golf and maybe have children who want to swim all day and use the various facilities

I think. large establishment like this would benefit from another outdoor pool for hotel guest as using the one at the Manor House’s isn’t allowed . The current outdoor pool though large is over run with children and noisy and not particularly a smart 5 star haven for those looking for quietude . As a family holiday hotel it’s perfect .

Breakfast was very busy so Service was understandably not the best Ladies at the spa ran late with treatment times and didn't apologize or inform us that they running late... Wouldn't have been annoyed if someone had just communicated Spa bookings were not handled in a timous manner I had requested a booking a week before arrival they got back to me the day before and couldn't accommodate us fully

Breakfast is fantastic, so many options (and more if you ask the waitstaff for anything your heart desires). The grounds are beautiful, with so many possible activities from golf, to tennis, to biking, to games and kids club and pool. Endless entertainment. Gorgeous room/suite with comfortable beds.

There were no blackout curtains in the living room, even though they advertise that as a place where kids can sleep in extra beds. The dinner was a bit disappointing both nights: La Cantina was underwhelming, and room service from the Club Lounge took a long time and over-cooked the meats we ordered "rare" (they came well done). But they quickly removed the items from our bill.

FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED WE COULD NOT GET HOLD OF RECEPTION OR ANYONE ON THE IN HOUSE TELEPHONE PHONE: WE REPORTED THIS BUT TWO EVENINGS LATER THIS WAS STILL THE CASE. OUR ROOM KEY NEVER WORKED AND SO EVERY TIME A STAFF MEMBER HAD TO ACTIVATE OUR DOOR TO GO IN, RIGHT UNTIL WE LEFT. MORE OF A NUISANCE AS WAS THE PHONE. I ALSO RECEIVED A MAIL FROM THE HOTEL WHEN WE BOOKED ASKING IF WE HAD ANY REQUESTS WHICH I THEN DID, NEITHER WERE SEEN TO> MY REWUEST FOR A CERTAIN TYPE OF PILLOW AND TO BOOK A MASSAGE ON A CERTAIN DAY AT A CERTAIN TIME; WHEN I DID WALK TO THE SPA EVENTUALLY AFTER NOT GETTING THROUGH, THEY WERE FULLY BOOKED UNTIL I LEFT: SO WHY ASK?

The facilities are good and the place is pretty. We didnt play golf but the golf course looked good.

The kids club is in need of refurbishment. The staff at kids club were really not interested in minding the kids. Not the same level of enthusiasm we have experienced at other kids club. The staff in general was a bit rude. They were giving priority to the club members over the visitors even when there was clearly a queue. The turn down service didnt tidy up the room as would be expected at a luxury hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Fancourt. Such a beautiful and relaxing environment with so many things to do. We enjoyed a daily session at the Roman bath and our daily walks/cycles around the extensive property of Fancourt. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools and kids club was a hit...also a way for us to enjoy the break too.
