tout est parfait ! Vienne est magnifique , et l'hotel nous a enchanté,le personnel est agréable,souriant,notre chambre était grandiose,aucuns bruits,et la terrasse waouh !!! dès le matin se retrouver en hauteur avec un buffet plus que bien le tout avec de la musique lounge c'est vraiment extraordinaire bravo !!! si nous revenons à Vienne nous retournerons chez Grand Ferdinand !

Gute Lage / freundliche Rezeption

Offene Dusche bzw. Badezimmer ohne Abtrennung/ kein Kleiderschrank nicht genügend Ablageflächen der Flur zum Pool war immer schmutzig weil er für die Küche oder so benutzt wird , sehr unangenehm sich durch 3-4 Mitarbeiter im Bademantel zu bewegen Sehr schade ist das es kein Frühstück in den schönen Restaurant im Eingangsbereich oder vorm Hotel gibt .

The property was in a great location. Modern property, nice restaurant, room was modern.

The front desk was not great. They had little knowledge of the area when we asked them questions. Concierge was not available every day. We never saw him. Front desk did not speak English.

Sehr gut. Hab mich sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist halt auch der Charme von Wien. Da kann man nicht widerstehen. Vom Hotel aus kommt man überall hin mit der Tram und Schloß Belvedere ist in der Nähe. Top Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Das beste jedoch ist der Pool und die Aussicht über Wien . Traumhaft!

Mein Zimmer war sehr dunkel und ich brauchte die ganze Zeit Beleuchtung um was zu sehen. Essensgeruch zieht permanent durch die Gänge.

The location is excellent, straight ahead from the hotel entrance is the road leading to Belvedere Palace, Stadtpark, Kursalon Wein etc. Behind the hotel is a short walk to the beautiful old town. Highly recommend this area for access to the sight-seeing. Rather than breakfast at the hotel, which is expensive, we chose to take a short walk to the cafe-restaurant Schwarzenberg; it's gorgeous, the staff are great and the food is delicious at a lower price. The room was a lot smaller than expected and tea/coffee facilities are not included in the standard room. Unfortunately, you cannot turn off the lights and leave side lights on, it's all or nothing, which is a pain when one wants to go to sleep and the other wants to read the guidebook. The wardrobe is open, which is fine, but there are only shelves for things like underwear, no drawers, so we kept our underwear in our suitcases, rather than having them on display for the cleaners. The rooms look beautiful in the pictures and they are lovely (the fridge in a suitcase is a unique idea) but the rooms are much darker and adds to the small room feel. We selected a room with a view, rather than internal courtyard, which we prefer. It was okay and good for checking the weather and we liked it, but do note that the hotel faces shops and other hotels; it may help you decide on what type of room you book. The rooftop has a superb view of the city and you can grab a drink and some food. We chose to have a drink and relax. However, the swimming pool (one of the reasons we selected this hotel) is a plunge pool; the picture is a bit deceiving if you are hoping to do a couple of lengths in the morning. The staff were a mixed bunch; most were really helpful (particularly the gentleman who organised our taxi on the day of departure) but others were quite surly and it felt like we were a bit of an inconvenience. On the whole we loved Vienna and plan to go back, but will choose a different hotel.

The hotel didn't meet our expectations, the rooms were much smaller and darker and the lighting was awkward; would be better if you could turn off all the lights except for the side lights. In reception we heard a few people asking for the internet password, we had to do that too and it was pointed out that it's on the room card (I'd already looked) and when we double-checked, it's in really small font and hard to see; this needs to be adjusted otherwise you will get a lot more customers asking. It's much cheaper to eat out rather than the hotel, which is a shame as the restaurant area is beautiful.

Friendly, helpful staff. Close to the majority of the main sights to visit. Beautiful restaurants in house for dining.

Breakfast top class!

Beautiful interiors, on trend house plants and pots made the reception and bar on the top floor a beautiful place to sit and relax! Great white wine spritzer, lovely pool for a dip after sightseeing. Tram right outside property to go into centre but equally not a long walk in. Great location for the CAT to airport, we had a pleasant stroll through the Stadtpark to get the early morning CAT. Excellent food - Wiener schnitzel in the downstairs restaurant. Plenty of powerful hot water in the showers and bedrooms were well equipped with good full length mirrors and a decent hairdryer!

The room is amazing. The free water is good and free sweets for the kid. I love the pillows on the bed I even want to buy a same one because my neck is not so good. The breakfast on the rooftop is wonderful. The location is great I can walk to anywhere (except the Sisi’s castle but the reception can help to call a taxi) Walking to Musikverein is only 4min!

Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The light switches were a bit complicated & at times frustrating.

Pool area was impossible to get to - overcrowded, really tiny pool, mote of a large bath. Waiters upstairs would benefit from some training. Room was not comfortable- no storage space at all- sink at the entrance with no space for toiletries. It’s probably ok for a 1 night stay, but would not book it again. I booked 2 nights separately-was woken up twice by a member of staff knocking and immediately opening the door - found that odd.

Nice and modern hotel, clean rooms, quiet. Great view at the 8th floor for the breakfast.

Small rooms, no real lobby or bar at the entrance so difficult to feel confortable.

Unable to eat in the hotel due to an event we were not aware of that closed the 8th floor restaurant and the ground floor restaurant fully booked each night and no spaces reserved for guests. Dirty glasses by the sink from previous occupier were there for the 3 days we stayed. Small room for the price and shower located in the actual bedroom so a lot of humidity.
