This property was perfect for our multigeneration family. Plenty of room, great location, very comfortable and clean. We hope to return again soon.

Of 7+ stays over the years, this house was probably the best overall. Such a solid and comfortable place - spacious and cool front porch, screened in back porch (take that mosquitos), cool (as in AC that does the job) third floor.

6 kids under 12 and 6 adults fit comfortably in this house. The management company is one of the best in this area (I have stayed 4 times in Cape Charles with three different companies……this one is the most organized, thorough, efficient, responsive, communicative.). The cleaning crew does a perfect job. For our group, this is the best location. You can see the park from the back yard, and using the buddy system, we were comfortable sending the kids to the park on their own, a little ahead of when an adult could join them. They loved the independence, and we loved the security and freedom. We rented two golf carts from CC Ryder Rentals (another positive experience), and used the carts to go to the beach. It’s only a short walk or cart ride to the beach. Our vote for future trips to Cape Charles is to be close to the park, a few blocks from the beach, and two blocks from the Main Street (Mason Ave), which is where the bakery, ice cream, coffee, restaurants, candy, retail shops are. This house and management company check all the boxes!

My friends and I make an annual pilgrimage to Cape Charles from Raleigh and Richmond. We love the town and the house was GREAT. It was very convenient to everything, clean and had everything we needed!

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. The property management company is right down the street and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wide range of people staying in the home from 65+ all the way down to infant babies just learning to walk and everyone was able to sleep and live comfortably in the home for a week. The kitchen, dining room, and back deck are perfect for large family meals with ample seating and room to operate. Although the house might be a bit further from the beach you really don't even notice it if you rent a golf cart, which is an absolute must! It's a total game changer for going to the beach and just throwing all your stuff on the cart. Being so close to the part was a game changer for us and our kids. In the evening the kids would go to the park and play while the adults could hang out and relax. The home is incredibly spacious, and the front porch is a little slice of Americana. Everyone had a blast! We would come back in a heartbeat.

The home is large and open and has plenty of flexibility in sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the front porch and the large dining area where the whole family could eat. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and then some. Grill was great! The beach chairs were great, and it was nice to have a couple of options for floaties. The bikes were used all week! The home backs up to a beautiful park that was lit up in the evening. Walking to the beach and restaurants was easy. Perfect stay for families! The pictures really should be improved as the home has a wonderful charm like pocket doors and transom windows that have old hardware. My only disappointment is that there was what looked like a broken bowl with sea glass on a shelf and ended up being a broken shade from a lamp that we didn't even see. So make sure to look closely for anything that is out of place or damaged, as they don't always stay on top of this and then charge the wrong guest.

The screened-in back porch and open front porch had an incredible breeze, which made for lovely evenings and mornings. The amenities in the house were great (we were able to cook anything and everything we wanted because the kitchen had all the appliances and cookware one could need). The house is only four blocks to the beach and one block to the cute little shopping area. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this house again. Our only complaint was that the management company was slow to respond to a plumbing emergency (it was related to the renovation and we were able to turn off the water to the affected area). The leak happened in the evening and the management company said they would come early the next morning. They called late morning to say they would come in the afternoon. That meant a person in our party wasted a morning sitting at home, which was frustrating.

However, the house had a half dozen light bulbs burned out, mold around the bathroom vents that caused illness in at least two guests, and ants in two of the bedrooms including one of the beds. There were only two bath towels in the house for our 11 guests upon arrival. The house itself is nicely updated and in a wonderful location. It just needs a bit more attention from the crew maintaining it.

The property was ideal for our situation as far as the number of bedrooms/baths/location, etc. Next visit we will try to definitely arrive on a Thursday, as some of the restaurants (due to the virus) were only open on the weekends. Also, we were so close to the park that we could listen to the Saturday night band from the back porch.

Nicely restored, it backs up to a great park and it's a short walk to the beach, on a beautiful street. Anything not perfect, is too trivial to mention. We had 10 people, not one complaint. The house is better than the photos. The porch is wonderful, for morning coffee and/or an evening glass of wine; there was fresh mint growing in the backyard, we picked a sprig or two for tea. From first contact, Jen @ Chesapeake Properties was great to work with & could not have been any better, so customer service was excellent. I will definitely recommend this property & would love to return. Some of the group made a day trip to Assateague, and one to Kiptopeake, a few of us stayed in Cape Charles the entire time. Very relaxing, in all the best ways.

The house was beautifully renovated and easily accommodated 12 of us. Great to have the AC in the sweltering heat of the summer and a great back porch with the fan to cool us down over dinner. The beach has beautiful sand and the water is extremely shallow for a large stretch, especially at low tide. We would definitely recommend for large family vacations!

The kitchen is updated and easy to cook in - we even did a team building exercise where we cooked an entire meal. There was enough room for the 7 of us to be in the kitchen working together.
