The room was fantastic. Very clean and very spacious. The bed was so comfortable. Can’t fault the room.
The only thing I didn’t like was some sort of banging noise just outside the room. Kept us awake most of the night. 😥

we were upgraded on arrival and the staff were wonderful.property was very clean and facilities generous.Very happy stay.Security was first class which very different to our stay in Bourke where our car was stolen. So security will always be important to us in future and the Griff more than meets that requirement for travellers

The property is in the middle of a construction site. no advice regarding this is listed on either booking.com not the hotels website. it was only after making a non cancellable booking that emails started arriving re how to navigate into the parking amongst roadworks and then further issues with a crane blocking access. As well I received a call about when I was checking in as there was no reception after 5.00pm. and it wasn’t opened when I left at 9.00am. so I saw no one. the young lady on the phone when I queried the construction gave a glib ‘sorry for your inconvenience’ which she clearly wasn’t. Noose from adjoining rooms and bathrooms was very loud. the mini bar had no freezer. the sink wasn’t in the bathroom…we didn’t leave the property because of access issue, other than for me to walk to the supermarket. Really really poor.

We stayed at the Gem Hotel, after being asked by Griff management. It was excellent from the on-site restaurant to the room, with the hotel perfectly placed in the city centre. The revamp of the hotel has been tastefully done.

Took a while to find the entrance to this motel as the road out the front was closed for roadworks. Not the fault of the owners. Once we found our way in, the room was well appointed, very comfy bed king bed and a large shower. Very nice room in a quiet location, helpful staff.

Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room, very quiet inside the room even though noise along street. Great location to walk to amazing restaurants and cafes.
