Room, location, cleanliness, services, breakfast was excellent!!!

Great location, in the middle of a forest, nice spa although only three out of its five features were working when I paid it a visit on Friday around 8.30pm.

I was given a room with a blackout blind that didn't work, and the hotel was already aware of this problem (the receptionist told me, when I complained, that they had already received complaints about this, yet it had not been fixed) when I arrived. So the hotel knowingly gave me a sub-standard room, clearly hoping that I would settle for it. When I complained, they offered me a bottle of 'champagne', which turned out to be a bottle of the rather cheaper sekt. I grudgingly accepted this, thinking that as the hotel was probably fully booked they wouldn't be able to give me another room. In the morning, I asked the receptionist to have the curtain fixed. When I returned in the evening it hadn't been fixed and the receptionist informed me that the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't provide me with another room. I therefore asked the receptionist for a 20% refund of the value of my reservation since it wasn't fair to charge me the full rate for a sub-standard room. The receptionist said he would speak to his boss about my request. Within five minutes he called me in my mal-appointed room and informed me that there was another room available after all. So I moved to my new room. It shouldn't have taken the hotel so long to address my complaint, yet the threat of a 20% loss to their scam (of providing me with a malfunctioning room for the full room rate) clearly pushed them to find an alternative room. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this hotel.

restaurant was a little overpriced but the bar was very nice.

The property has spacious rooms and the staff at the restaurant was very welcoming. Wellness facilities are also nice.

We stayed on a Saturday and the guests at the restaurant were extremely loud (playing music, shouting) until 1am. this was extremely unpleasant as we chose this place for its quiet, secluded location. After complaining to the receptionist, we were dismissed. Quite unprofessional
