From our 'welcome' in the bar to the fab breakfast, it was one of the best small hotels I have ever been to

The food was tasty and hot. Two coffee pots was great as we didn't have to ask for more. Our welcome was excellent.
There were only 2 couples for breakfast. The service was slow. There was no yoghurt and we were not offered toast. We had to get milk for our coffee from the cereal table. Should have been given a jug of milk.

Price was good as it included breakfast, was all good quality, provided more on request at no extra cost.

Great rooms, clean, well presented, comfy and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, all staff friendly and accommodating but in particular breakfast waitress and room attendant, proper Yorkshire lass, great service. Good location for travel and scenic surroundings

lovely place to stay , rooms were very clean and comfortable, staff was brilliant and breakfast was amazing…. it was our 1st stay at the Mitre and we have booked again to go back in June 👌👌👌

Breakfast was disappointing. Waited 25 mins and when it arrived It was cold
and unappetising. No rolls for egg roll and waitress moody and snappy.

A bit cold ( but it’s an unpredictable time of year). Early noise if trains (it’s next to a station so expected and didn’t bother me!)

Breakfast was ok but nobody ate the sausages or seemed to have full English, the rook was large and very clean , but unfortunately it overlooked the train station 30ft away so was quite noisy

This was very handy for travelling in and out of town on day trips. The room was very comfortable and clean. It’s a lovely location. Breakfast was good but takes a very long time. Both mornings sit down to leaving was about an hour. Felt very safe
Though the room seemed pretty clean overall, I ended up encountering 5 spiders (4in shower 1 on my pillow) and a wasp decided to hang out all night. We ended up cohabitating fine.

Close to all of knaresborough attractions and easy going. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Parking is not easy. Its advertised as having free parking on the street but there are very limited spaces on very steep, tight lanes. We arrived on market day and had great difficulty finding anywhere to park the car close enough to unload our things.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent. Evening meal was very good.
Breakfast could have been better. Poached eggs served cold on one morning. Scrambled eggs on unbuttered toast. No porridge. Very limited menu.

It was clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. Very nice room.
Having booked a table to dine, it did not appear we were expected, however there was room so it worked out ok.
What we had was nice and fairly priced, however only one starter offered and no sweets, so good job the pie was filling! Eat elsewhere on 2nd night.
