I had booked for 7 Day 6 nights Because of MO reputation

Subject: Disappointing Experience with Staff Behavior Dear Manager I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the behavior of your staff during our recent visit to MO on 24/12/2024-30/12/2024. We were staying at your hotel, which is known for its high standard of service, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected from a 5-star establishment. During our time at the Ebony restaurant, my son became upset and cried for about 20 seconds. To our surprise and dismay, your staff asked me twice to return my son to our room, despite his brief distress and the fact that he was not causing any disturbance beyond that. This behavior not only seemed uncalled for, but it also made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in an environment we had hoped would be family-friendly. As paying guests, we expect to be treated with respect and understanding, especially when we are dining or staying with children. The manner in which we were treated was extremely rude and completely unacceptable. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Our family values hospitality, and this experience has regrettably left us upset and disillusioned with your establishment. The bus for the canton fair was a joke….

Great helpful attentive staff, clean and comfortable

Restaurants closed at 2.30 so not much choice to eat anywhere within hotel apart from cake shop in lobby with limited options.

Mandarin Oriental always meets their standard and MO in GZ is a gem. Excellent staff, wonderful location, lovely bedding and great Chinese restaurant. The housekeeping lady was amazing. She put all my makeup and my pile of work documents in order. She always left me a glass wipe for my glasses. A very warm and caring way as MO always offers.

The only thing that caused a bit of frustration was that the staff at the car park kept asking us to park our car to the bushes. There is no grids nor lines shown.
