We had a great visit. We wanted everyone to be comfortable in their own space while being together. We were very close to DC to visit monuments, but far enough away to enjoy the seclusion. The owner was very helpful and replied quickly with any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely go back.

This home was both beautiful and spacious and was a lovely place for our whole family to be able to visit and enjoy our stay together while we were in town. Lots of good local restaurants a mile away from the property and the owner was amazing with any communication and questions we had. We would absolutely recommend and will rent again if we are ever in town

This property is very large and big enough to hold our large family of 9. It’s a well kept home and we felt very much at home. It could use some updating but overall it is a great house and located only 15 minutes from DC.

The property was beautiful and spacious. I was traveling with my son and daughter and my grandchildren. The grandchildren wanted to see where there parents grew up, so we planned the trip to revisit the area. The house had plenty of supplies, the only thing we had to provide was food. There was lots of space inside and out to chill out.
Check in and out was easy. Wifi worked very well. The owner was understandable when we had to check out a day early. The only thing I wish we would have know was that one of the bedrooms is off the master, but it was easy for us to rearrange sleeping arrangements.

We stayed with 10 people and the large space was great and accommodated everyone. The house was very clean and in a safe neighborhood.
The 5th bedroom is off a bathroom and does not have a separate enterance making it impossible to have privacy. The listing has pictures of furnature that are no longer at the house. The weeds and volunteer trees could be kept up. But otherwise the visit was great.

One of us inadvertently activated the alarm. We could not get it to stop. The mgr came right over and deactivated it. My six year old grandson called the house “Wayne Manor” due to the size and open floor plan. Recommend this house for a larger group. Awesome place.

Lots of lovely space inside and out with ample seating for large groups, both at table and on couches, decks, etc. Plenty of dishes and table ware. Pillows and linens were in good supply also. Natural light is wonderful throughout, but some rooms were lacking in supplemental lighting for evening and morning hours. Our major disappointment was the bedrooms. Two rooms were super comfortable but the 2 rooms with double bunk beds had very squeaky, metal frames with thin mattresses. These didn’t work well for couples. As currently set up, the house is best for 2 couples plus kids or singles (We had four couples and 6 children).

Stayed 5 nights with 8 adults and 6 kids. Ample sleeping accommodations very large kitchen with 2 ovens and 2 microwaves for cooking for a large group and diverse meals. Excellent climate control.
In sufficient silverware for a property of this size that sleeps so many. Ideal if it would have 2 dishwashers instead of one.

Very lovely, very versatile space. There were 8 of us, and it was easy and comfortable for us to gather in several different spaces at this location. We sat together in the dining room for a dinner, the kitchen for all our breakfasts, the great room for one evening of visiting and the screened in porch for a couple of other evenings of wine and visiting. Good base for our visits to DC area

Very nice property. Could use some general maintenance (loose stair rail, deck step breaking). Available rubber mat in the showers would be nice as it can be very slippery. Overall, very nice and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time here with our extended family of 13. The house was at a nice location for us to go explore Washington DC for a few days. The owners were excellent in their communication and I appreciated their prompt replies to any questions we had. The house worked great for us and we enjoyed our time here.

This house was perfect location for our trip to DC. Very close to the majority of the sites.
The house is a little bit of a weird set up. But it worked.
I would recommend the owners cleaning the carpets. They were pretty stained.
There was also some things that were advertised at the property that weren’t there.
There is no hot tub that is listed under pool/spa listing. Also the air hockey table doesn’t work and there are no balls for the foosball table. I don’t think you should put those things in your listing if they are not useable.
The bunk beds could use a little tightening.
The owner was nice and accommodated for the crib we needed for the baby.
Overall a great place, just some things that need to be edited in the vrbo listing.

5 adult kids and parents enjoyed this property immensely. Plenty of space for all and 3 great showers to get everyone through showers quickly. Very peaceful property. Owner communicates quickly and efficiently.

This house is fabulous. Its in a great location, with close proximity to DC. It was perfect for our daughters graduation from weekend American University weekend.

If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place to stay, this is the place. My family and I enjoyed staying here, too bad it was only for a couple of days. The owners are wonderful.

The home was beautiful and exactly as shown. We would like to give a shout-out to our host who handled a difficult mechanical breakdown and made us her top priority. She made sure we were accommodated and quickly taken care of while she fixed the problem. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau with plenty of room for the 9 of us. The foosball and air hockey games were a big hit!
We were unable to use the grill, however, as there is a leak in the line. Also, there is a slight problem with ants in the kitchen sink area. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you!

We spent 5 nights at the chateau for a school "intensive" trip to DC. We had excellent communication from the owner before and during the stay. Everything worked well in the home, which has attractive outside grounds. To say the chateau is roomy is an understatement. The location is quite convenient to DC and surrounding areas. Really a great experience!

The overall visit was outstanding and the property had plenty of space. There were plenty of supplies however could been more kitchen utensils. The location of the property was outstanding and none of the club members was disappointed. The check in process was slightly confusing. Length of time on receiving details, address and policies was a concern. Communication between myself and VRBO whether telecommunication or email should improve in regards of secured on rentals property. The property owner was outstanding gave very clear instructions.

This lovely home was perfect for our large family’s holiday. The kitchen accommodates a number of cooks and the double oven was a real plus! Multiple bathrooms and bedrooms made for comfortable living. Highly recommend!

Manager was very easy to communicate with, and responsive to our needs, fortunately. Property roomy in public spaces. Steep, high rise spiral stairs. Some fixtures broken/not in good shape. Shared bathroom sink leaking and had to be replaced so 4 adults with no bathroom sink for most of a day for a 2 1/2 day stay. Many lighting controls a mystery (safety). Bedroom cobwebs. Kitchen not very clean-dirty dishes/utensils, cabinets/drawers. Stated amenities scarce or non-existent, had to ask for them. FYI-seating for meals limited to only 4-6 a time at each table space (limited family meal gathering), and no serving dishes.

My family was in town for a short 3 day stay. The home was actually better than we expected with plenty of room/space for our large group. There is a grocery within a few miles and other shops as needed for quick stops. Getting to DC was about 20 mins too. Will use again if we revisit area.

We loved this property! Everything was clean, the location was convenient. The house was gorgeous and truly a park like setting in the middle of a city. We would highly recommend!

Nice place for family DC trip
Great place for all our family members. All 13 of us. Plenty of room. Large kitchen, nice deck, screened in porch and garage was a plus. Linens provided, well stock kitchen with pans, dishes and utensils. We had a great time. Only drawback is the furniture in the tv area is not what’s pictured in their ad. What we sat on was a much smaller version of a sectional that felt like we were sitting on a futon. Very uncomfortable after a day of site seeing and wanting to relax. Would rent again if they had a better sitting area.

Nice big house!
The house was clean and there was lots of room for 3 families. We weren’t in the house much as we spent our days in DC. It’s located close to a metro station which made our daily commutes easy. Thanks for a good stay!!

Nice place for a large family
Family of 7 visiting friends and DC. This house provided plenty of room to spread out while still being within 20 minutes of DC, and great for also seeing friends from n Alexandria and Fairfax.

Beautiful home with lots of room!
We were in town for my little brother's funeral at Arlington NC so most our stay was a blur.
We had a huge group of friends & family in & out & the house was perfect for our group. A lot of my brothers Army buddies came to the funeral & we had a wonderful time on the back deck reminiscing & telling stories; it was fabulous! The living room area was so spacious & also a great spot for gathering.
The home is in a great location close to the grocery/liquor store & lots of yummy restaurants. Parking is so easy at the house & the circle drive is perfect for all the cars. Beautiful homes in a great neighborhood.
Host was super responsive to our questions & very accommodating to our needs.

A taste of class and luxury!
From the time we opened the front door we felt the richness and class of our vacation home. The size and flow allowed for all 12 of my family members to be together but yet find there own space to be alone. The owner was on time with the details we needed to enter the property as well as the understanding of the house rules. Thanks for the memories our family will always have with this spacious home.
