Good location. Clean. Check-in was excellent. The condo could use a full length mirror and a couple of portable fans. Otherwise no complaints.

The actual place, condo, was better than expected...well supplied and very spacious. Nick the true agent was good in sending info and instructions about the condo etc but another manager was in charge of check in and was to help with our transport which was a bit vague and scattered. However she did meet us at the condo upon check in etc so all was well....

We really enjoyed our stay at this property right in the heart of the town. It was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Great communication with the owner and property manager.

It was our first time to Costa Rica and we spent 6 nights at Carla's condo in Samara. This town is something special and the condo was the perfect place to unwind. The location to the beach was fantastic and it was simple to walk to everything we needed, restaurants, groceries, pharmacy etc. It was well appointed with linens and towels, well stocked kitchen and it was nice having the washer/ dryer. It was also nice being able to turn on AC to cool rooms before bed! The pool might not look like much on arrival but it was great to spend time at as well. The property was well kept and we enjoyed our stay very much. How to be back one day!

We can't say enough about this condo! We stayed in Samara for a month while at language school and could not have asked for a more clean, safe, well appointed place to live while we were there. The location was perfect - easy walk to grocery, all of the restaurants, the language school and most importantly, the beach. Carla, the owner, was very helpful and great to work with and Nick, the property manager, was very friendly and attentive during our stay. The pool was nice, the high speed internet worked perfectly, the beds were comfortable, the tank-less inline water heater made plenty of hot water for us all and the A/C worked great. Really can't think of anything bad to report about this place. We would definitely stay here if we are ever in Samara again.

The unit itself was very good, floor needed a cleaning. Really lacking on quality pol chairs, lounges. Could have a place to lock them in. The grounds need better taking care of and a few well placed palm trees around the pool would be great. Also a closed in fence where you come through steel gates would be good and a code on the gate for each unit. The proximity to downtown and the beach you can’t beat. Overall a nice place and we would return.

Enjoyed the location right in town yet away from hustle and bustle and only 3 blocks from beach!

Truly "Elegant Condo"! Very spacious, well stocked kitchen with full size refrigerator, washer and dryer worked perfectly! Beds were clean and comfortable, and we felt secure with gated yard, as well as being upstairs with great door locks. The pool was refreshing in the heat, and the air conditioners worked very well. Although there was street noise in the night , the convenience for walking to shops and the beach was worth it. I would recommend this Condo, and hope to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Carla's house in Samara. We were met promptly at the property by the manager. The condo was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was excellent - a 2 min. walk to one large grocery store and 5 min. to another and only a 5 min. walk to the beach. There was A/C in every room and it worked well and quietly. We felt safe at the condo and in the town. It was handy to have a washer and dryer. The pool was clean and had a covered patio area. The little town of Samara had lots of restaurants (many along the beach), bars, bakeries, mini-supers plus the 2 big grocery stores. The beach was wide, flat and long and we enjoyed renting beach cruisers to ride from one end to the other. The beach was fairly calm and we felt safe swimming. We spotted howler monkeys one morning as we biked near town. We drove into Samara from Liberia and the roads were paved and smooth the whole way.

Property was much enjoyed. Our correspondence with Carla was very helpful and prompt. Her manager, Nick, did a good job answering questions, and giving tips and hints. The condo was clean upon move in, and kitchen and laundry areas well appointed. Only issues to point out would be that the microwave did not work, and the street noise in the 2 bedrooms on the street side were quite noisy from street activities which usually died down by about 11:00 p.m. The resident iguana which we called Brutus until we learned that his name was Pedro, was a bit possessive if you found him sunning on the steps to the condo. We enjoyed him but give him time to move when he is on the steps.

Clean, spacious condo right in the middle of Samara. Bed in the master bedroom is super comfortable. Be advised if you are in Costa Rica for peace, quiet, and the sounds of nature, you might want to find a place a bit outside of the town like in the Buena Vista neighbourhood, though.

Central in town. Watched live music for the balcony on the first night. Clean and accommodating.

We loved our stay at Carla’s Condo. The place was roomy and comfortable and the managers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect- just a few minutes from the beach, near a lovely yoga studio, organic grocery and delicious bakery. Our favorite part was the large iguana that acted as a sentry to the condo, and scurried around the roof. We would definitely return.

My trip was a blast. The condo is very easy to find. Location is perfect and easy access to beach, restaurants and shopping. The beds we're comfortable and having laundry was a huge plus. I can't wait to stay there again.

Great place in the middle of Samara which has everything you need. We were with a 4 year old and he loved the pool in the morning. The central location makes exploring Samara super easy and the bank and supermarket are literally next door. The beach is down the main street and is beautiful. Again, the surf was perfect for our 4 year old who loved using the boogie board that came with the place. Cooking was easy as well as everything was provided. If you’re looking for the place, it is on the corner of the main street to the beach and the road to Nosara. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks for providing everything we needed for a great stay!

Had a superb time with our 3 and 6yo kids. It was quiet, clean, and approximately 100 yards from the beach. The private pool, outdoor shower, and adjacent gazebo were really nice in being able to rinse off saltwater and as an alternative to the ocean for the little ones. Within one minute walk from numerous cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets. All appliances worked well although the master bedroom AC was finicky. The unit owner communicated well and was responsive to concerns and needs. We would return again in a heartbeat-a lovely unit in a fantastic little beach town.

Great location, would love to come back if our travels bring us back to Samara.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying at Carla's condo. It was perfectly laid out and in a very desirable and secure location. We could walk around town, to the beach, the grocery store with ease and found ourselves immersed in the wonders of this bustling yet laid back surf town. There was everything one could need and more at the condo, and the property manager was more than helpful and friendly. I recommend this condo to anyone interested in taking in the Samara area!!!

Carla is an absolute dear to deal with, the support team is also prompt and friendly. If you have any questions, they're quick to help and give thorough information to get you going. The condo is right in the center, but you enter from the back for general protection and privacy. There's also an enclosed walkway that faces the main street and keeps the noise away. It's surprisingly quiet and private yet steps away from all the amenities. Costa Rica has some hills and I've read many "2 minutes from town" descriptors, this condo is an easy 1-2 minute walk from the grocery store and restaurants. Less than 5 to the beach. Each room has a fan and air conditioner options. Note there's no cable, so if you vacation to watch movies, bring your Netflix/Crave/etc logins and sit back and enjoy. The entertainment system has connections for all your auxiliary devices as well. Plenty to do in and around the condo. The little pool outside has a cabana where you can sit and enjoy a beverage or have a relaxing picnic. Indeed, with amazing restaurant food in every direction, we did not picnic often. The food in Samara stands out. Make sure you check out the Outback a block away (beside the Outback tours), you'll go back daily. Exceptional staff and food, all meals, all days, music to end the good ones. The Flying taco, young and SO FUN, and El Tortuga or something like that (we left a flyer) wood fire grill a few blocks away. Don't miss that one - it's the best date meal for many miles, but it's a little hidden. If you get lost on your way - stop for French food and try again another day. Pura Vida

My wife and I, and my son, his wife and 1 year old spent a week here. The location was great, being only a short walk to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Although we did rent a car to get from the Liberia airport to Samara, we only used it one day and got along fine without a car the whole week. The Samara beach bay is broad and nice. It had gentle waves that were great for baby play and swimming, and even for very beginner surfing. When we had the car, we also drove to Playa Carillo, which was an even nicer beach, but lacked the conveniences of Samara. Three of us wanted some more surfing challenge, so went a couple of times with Fabricio from La Isla Surf School to Playa Camaronal, which had some bigger waves for us novices and some even bigger ones for more experienced surfers. As expected, the snorkelling in Playa Samara wasn’t great, but I did see some sea turtles and rays mostly around the south end of the bay (Indian Head / Isla Chora Point). The condo had the rooms and space we needed, one for each of the adult couples and a small one for the baby. The beds were comfortable and the owner Carla loaned us her PacknPlay for the baby. Carla, Nick, and especially Eddie who was on the one who we saw a few times – we all very nice. Eddie even communicated my wife’s yearning for glass wine glasses, and brought us some the next day! Having a baby, we made good use of the washer dryer. The Internet worked well. The kitchen was well equipped, even a rice cooker. I think Carla will be replacing the silly Little Kitty toaster. The living room furniture could be more comfortable (not enough padding). What we thought would be a nice patio area turned out to not be usable, since it was totally enclosed by sealed windows and wasn’t air conditioned. We missed not having an open patio to relax on. But, we did enjoy the outdoor pool. We also enjoyed our frequent visitor – a large lizard, who enjoyed suning himself on our steps. We got to witness an epic lizard battle when another lizard challenged his territory. We enjoyed our stay in Samara and Carla’s condo provided a great base for our visit. I recommend both.

This three bed condo was exactly as advertised. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The town is lovely and people very friendly. Amenities are basic- the condo has AC but none of the restaurants or stores do, there were usually fans and a breeze. We liked getting away from a Mickey D's on every corner and disconnecting from the frantic pace - totally relaxed at the end of our week. Would recommend taking Christine's cooking class! Denise
