The location is perfect. 5min walk from Guilin North railway Station. If you are heading to Yangshuo, it's quite convenient. The price is cheap. On the way put I checked another room, which was just cleaned and it was not as moldy as ours. It seems like some might be ok for a night or two.

Regarding the cheap price we didn’t expect too much from the room, but all we would require is no mold in the room. Unfortunately the whole ceiling was molded and you could smell it really strong. We asked the staff for another room, but they told us, they only have this room left. Due to we arrived at 0.30am and we where very tired, we decided to stay. Also the bed was a bit damp, which was very uncomfortable. It's very noisy outside in the morning, so expect being awake early. The people in the hostel (incl. the staff) played some games and it was very loud (even later than 1am).they didn't really care about others (as it is mostly usual in China). As the mattress is only a big piece of foam, my wife and me put two over each other, that we didn't feel the wooden frame (not really comfy).

Location took a little work to find, but is very convenient for any traveler using the Guilin North Railway. You are able to walk to the Railway station in five minutes. There are abundant Chinese restaurants near the hostel and the front desk attendant can give recommendations. She also spoke great English and informed me of things to see near Yangshuo. Western breakfast was good and Americano was nice.

Location, if not using the North Railway Station, is not convenient. Long way to center of the city. No room from the windows. Old stairways to rooms are in desperate need of new carpeting.
