We have stayed here 6-8 times. We started out staying a couple of weeks and each year we add more days. The owner lives downstairs and is very generous with her time, advice, and beach toys. The accommodations are perfect. My favorite spot is the sunroom which has 4 windows that you can roll up to enjoy a clear view of the ocean view. In addition, there is a table that seats 6-8 people where I sit at my computer or iPad while enjoying the ocean view. I also read or nap on the trundle bed. The private roof deck is great for relaxing, sitting by the fire pit, sunning, or viewing the fantastic sunsets. It is a short walk to the beach and the 2½ mile boardwalk. There are numerous bars, restaurants, surf shops, an amusement park, etc. along the way. Kono’s on the boardwalk at Crystal Pier is one of our favorite places for breakfast or lunch.

We had a really good stay at the house, as a family of six. The location is gorgeous and the view from the deck amazing; you can hear the surf breaking all of the time.

We stayed 6 nights over Christmas and had the best time. Everything was cozy and remarkable. So grateful for this special family vacation. The sunsets and sunrises are extraordinary.

We stayed here with a family group of 8, including 2 in their 80’s, and loved it! The place is warm and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the rooftop porch for evening sunsets. It’s a short walk to restaurants along the ocean walkway. We met both the owner and next door neighbor who were both very welcoming. Highly recommended!

My friends and I rented this property for our annual friends retreat that we take. We like places that allow us to both congregate and chat while also being within walking distance of places we can go for coffee, dinner, attractions, etc. This place checks all the boxes. It was clean, stocked with amenities, and the views were just as described! The only areas where I have any criticism are: 1. Put check-in details fully online so there's no need to call for entry code. 2. Have furniture covers removed on the deck so guests don't have to remove them and then figure out where to put them as the deck area is pretty crowded. Other than that, we greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property to others! Points of consideration: If you have small kids or elderly relatives, please note that this property is only accessible via steep stairs. Further, if you have a large vehicle, parking may not be available as the driveway parking is quite limited in space and the street parking is often full as this property is very near to the beach.

This house was wonderful for our family group of seven. It had indoor and outdoor spaces, plenty of seating, great views, and a rooftop deck where we watched the sun set and the city lights come on. The neighborhood is quiet and at the north end of the boardwalk, so good for sleeping but close enough to everything that you can find loads of restaurants within a 5-10 minute stroll. Groceries are a 15 minute walk. The owner lives downstairs and is super generous with her time, advice, and beach toys. We used her boogie boards and kid wetsuits and loved the outdoor shower. The furnishings and decor are much nicer than the average beach rental. This isn’t a party house. It’s a classy, well-loved, comfortable place for family or friend gatherings. We’d definitely come back and enjoy the beach again from this beautiful home.

We were so happy with this home last year that we chose to stay here again this year. The house has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We love being so close to the beach with great views of the ocean. The homeowner is very easy to work with and the home is very well maintained.

Lovely location, amenities were plentiful. Nice hot showers, though we never figured out where the magical doorbells were. 😜 Awesome views. Wonderful trip!!

The location can't be better. The house has a huge amount of space when you include the balconies. The kitchen has almost everything you need. We definitely will stay again.

The location and porches do not disappoint! Just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores nearby. The rooftop porch with gas fire pit is a great place to watch the sunset and fireworks from Sea World. Well stocked kitchen is also nice for cooking meals. Just an FYI, there is a coffee maker but no Keurig. Gelsons grocery, which is just minutes away, does have fresh ground coffee. Definitely would recommend this home if you want to be near the beach.

This clean 3 bedroom property with off street on site parking has a well maintained courtyard and entrance with manicured landscaping and an abundance of flowers and plants. Four decks with seating, two with access from bedrooms provides views and privacy. The rooftop deck allows views of the park and the beach showcasing surfers and the Crystal Pier. Two bathrooms plus an outdoor shower are a plus. It’s just a short walk to the beach and there are ample quality beach chairs and umbrellas available on the property.

This house was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect. Communication with host was excellent. Definitely recommend this amazing home and will stay again next time we are in the area.

We have stayed at this beach house before, and despite a small inconvenience at the start of this trip, we wouldn’t definitely stay here again. Great home with an amazing rooftop deck/view. Tremendous location, with close proximity to the beach. The host is absolutely fantastic and very accommodating.

Overall we were pleased with the property location and the friendliness of the owner and her daughter. The kids had the opportunity to play on the beach multiple days and appreciated that the owner had beach toys available for us to use. The place had ample space for the entire family which consisted of three children under 8 and three adults.

This VRBO was different in that the owners live on the property in a separate portion of the house. The house was a little run down, and a few of the deck doors did not lock. Overall it was a good rental. The owners did explain that they have had only a housekeeper tending to the property, so that could explain the run down of the property.

We stayed with Isabelle for a long weekend and had the best time. The house was very clean and had all the amenities anyone would need. Check in was easy with the use of a door code. Isabelle met us as we arrived and provided suggestions for things to do and places to eat. You can’t beat the location. One block from the beach and boardwalk. Short walks to restaurants. Amazing views from the rooftop balcony. We are already looking forward to our next stay with Isabelle.

This was the best-equipped vacation rental we've ever booked. The photos definitely do not to this place proper justice. The ocean views and sounds throughout were incredible. The rooftop patio was even better than described. We had the unfortunate pleasure of traveling into town during a period of unusual rainy winter weather and it was great to be able to spread out and the entire family have plenty of room to be indoors during the worst of the weather. We will definitely book this house again on our next visit.

This is a 2-story house with the owner (who is attentive, easy to deal with, and very friendly) on the first floor and the 2nd floor is the Vrbo. Every day I would sit on the covered porch and eat my breakfast with the sights and sounds of the ocean. It was also a great place to read a book on the day bed in the porch looking out at the ocean. You can roll up the curtains and the 3 windows, so your view of the ocean is unhindered. If a family was going to stay, there is plenty of room with the 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. There are also 3 balconies: 2 off 2 bedrooms and a fabulous view on the roof which is equipped with a patio fire pit. This is a great place to view the sunsets. If you want to stay in the Mission Beach and Pacific Beach area of San Diego, this is an excellent place to stay. We have stayed there at least 6 times and will go back again next January.

This place has it all. The rooftop patio is the main draw. The views are amazing and it’s super close to shopping and restaurants. I’ll book this property the next time I’m in San Diego.

It was the perfect spot. Quiet, clean, great location. The beds were great! Loved the balconies! Perfect for two couples. Would defiantly stay again.
