This property is the perfect home away from home! Just as pictured- clean and has everything you could possibly need to relax and enjoy the serenity of the beautiful mountains with so much to explore in the surrounding countryside and small towns! The hosts were great and made check in and checkout so easy!

This is a beautiful cabin to spend the week in while we explored Western Massachusetts. The space works perfectly for two adults in the master bedroom and their own bathroom (not adjoining, but fairly private) upstairs. There is also a small loft area to sit and read. Downstairs the kids had their own bathroom and shower near their two bedrooms. The dining room had an awesome large table with solid chairs for playing games and eating meals. The living area was small but the 5 of us were able to comfortably watch DVDs every night.The kitchen had plenty of everything we needed and then some. The front deck was great as well, when it wasn't raining. Tips for visitors: We gave up on using the side entrance as it was easier (and cooler) to come in through the basement. The mattresses were more firm than I'm used to so if you like a soft mattress then this might not work for you. The driveway is no problem, but I bottomed out on the road the first time I pulled in and learned to take it slower. But overall it deserves 5 stars, everything was awesome and I would recommend it highly! Bill and Eleen were super easy to work with and very responsive. Cleanup/checkout could not have been more simple! We LOVED it here!

Wonderful cabin in the woods centrally located to area golf courses. The home was well apportioned and neat as a pin. The owners made us feel welcome as their guests and kept us well informed prior to our arrival. Thank you for a fun getaway.

We stayed here at Thanksgiving and decided to return in May for our daughter’s graduation, an hour away. This place is truly special, and now feels like our home away from home. Love all the trees, the privacy, and the well-equipped kitchen! Very clean, comfortable, and just right for us. Thank you, Bill and Eileen, for being such considerate and attentive hosts.

We spent four nights over Thanksgiving in this charming and immaculate home, and mid-stay we decided to book another six nights in May. Bill is an outstanding host, who responded immediately to each of my pre-visit questions. The house is light and bright, and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed and more. We really felt like we were out in the country, because all we could see were trees, yet it was a pleasant and easy drive to visit other places in New York and Massachusetts. I am really looking forward to our next stay in May.

4 of us we’re getting together to sing. We’re an a cappella group and needed some place to rehearse. This house was perfect!

We came to the area for a wedding and the house was perfect. 4 minutes from the wedding location and 7 minutes from the nearest grocery store. The kitchen has everything you need, including champagne glasses which was perfect! Don’t miss out on watching the sunset from the back porch while roasting some marshmallows in the fire pit.

We were a group of four women over 60. It's such a beautiful place and has everything you need plus more. Those of us in our 70's had some trouble with the steps...especially those going up to the cabin.I highly recommend this property.

Our stay at Bill and Eileen’s place in Hillsdale was wonderful. The property is clean, comfortable and filled with amenities many which we didn’t have time to take advantage of. It’s close to a number of fabulous hikes, swimming holes and the town of Hillsdale. Should our travels bring us back to the area, we will definitely return! Thanks so much Bill and Eileen!

Let me start by saying this was our very first VRBO booking and what an absolutely beautiful property! Secluded yet close enough to everything you want to see or do! Beautifully decorated. Super clean! Hosts were absolutely wonderful and very helpful!

My wife, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I stayed for 2 nights and we loved the property and location as it was about 20 minutes to pretty much everything (Great Barrington, West Stockbridge, etc). Property was immaculate and very quiet which was exactly what we were looking for. Right by the house we saw multiple deer and wild turkey. Pretty much everything we needed was supplied, and we loved being able to make a fire in the fire pit in the backyard. Bill was very responsive to emails and any questions that we had. It was a little warm in the main living area (there are lots of fans - temps when we were there were in the 90's), but all bedrooms had AC's which worked great so we slept very well. We would certainly come back when we are in the Berkshires!!

Stayed here for several days for a quick getaway in early July. The location is just outside of "downtown" Hillsdale on a very quiet road, not far from places we wanted to go in Mass. The home itself is beautiful. Upon arrival, it was immaculately clean. There were detailed arrival instructions so check-in was simple. The home has everything needed for a short (or probably long) stay. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare just about anything and there are several outdoor grills (which I believe are available though we did not use them). They provided access to extra towels if needed (not often the case with VRBO's). The rooms are as shown in the photos and nicely decorated. We only used the master bedroom, but that was very comfortable. There is ample outdoor space - a front deck as well as two very large seating areas in the rear. Owners were very responsive in advance. All in all, a great place to stay and we highly recommend it for travel in the area.

Property was just as described and a lovely home base for our visit. The owners made everything easy - they let us know what to expect when we checked in, gave ideas about things to do nearby, and followed-up when they found a left behind stuffed animal.

The cabin was easy to find; well maintained & nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped, and a good supermarket is nearby. There's a large patio and good-sized deck with a grill. Recommend visiting The Rockwell Museum and studio as well as Chesterwood Studio. For summer visitors- the room air conditioners in the bedrooms worked well, but there were only fans to cool the main living area. This was only an issue on one very hot day. Overall, highly recommended.

This place was perfect for our group of 6 (3 couples) in the area for a wedding. Bill provided great communication ahead of the trip and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit (house provided wood and kindling) both nights chatting. Wish we could have stayed longer - it was a great property! Oh and a great diner nearby as well as at least one brewery that had live music.

We had a great time at this home! There was some surprise snow and the plows were quick and there were plenty of shovels and salt in the house. My friends and I had a relaxing time reconnecting after a long time apart. Thanks for letting us do it here!

We have stayed here before and we will stay here again. Great location - easy jaunt to Hillsdale, Copake, and Great Barrington! Close to great hiking trails. The house has all the comforts of home (with big windows that give plenty of light), plus a great backyard porch, front deck, with a quiet rural setting amongst the trees. Super clean and comfy.

Like a hotel, spotlessly clean, all amenities present (soap, TP, linens, etc...). Easy to get to via GPS directions, they even had dry firewood for the gorgeous fire pit. Gas grill on the deck, this is the type of house I would own. A great stay, super quiet and lots of stars at night AND the grocery store and restaurants are only a 3 minute drive. Great place to stay, I will most likely rent this place agian, though next time during ski season.

My husband and two daughters enjoyed a quiet, comfortable weekend here. The house was neat as a pin and had all the creature comforts (fresh linens, towels, kitchen needs, pillows, etc) as well as a thoughtful welcome note and treat. It was wonderful to sit and watch the clouds drift by through the floor to ceiling windows in the great room or in the rocking chairs on the patio out back. We enjoyed the symphony of frogs and saw many deer passing through the forest. We definitely hope to return!

I can’t and will never have enough amazing words to say about this charming home and the amazing owners! This was not my first time here but even so, I was still blown away by how clean and prepared the place was for us! Besides food to cook, everything we needed was there for us! The place was a little warm and stuffy when first arrived and saw they had an upgraded heating system (could have been there before but being summer last time I didn’t notice) so I messaged Bill and Eileen first to make sure it was okay to turn the heat off and they not only responded through vbro right away, but called me to make sure they could help make me comfortable during my stay! The bikes in the basement were in good shape and my fiancé and I were able to ride around the area! There was a diner minute from the house that we visited not once, not twice but four times during our only 3 night stay! Town 15 mins away (Great Barrington) had loads to offer (esp Cindy’s candy shop) even just a walk on the road the house on offered us peace and relaxation while also getting to see the local deer and wildlife prance around! I am from a fast paced city and stepping into Bill and Eileen’s amazing chalet, gives me a break from alll that and brings a sense of calmness to my heart that I need! The fireplace out back is just so wonderful at night! My fiancé and I saw more stars than we’d ever see in the city we live plus seeing the stars while in front of a fire, listening to the sounds of wilderness, is a whole other experience! Now add s’mores to that, which is exactly what we did and it was pure bliss! I will be back every year for as long as Bill and Eileen will welcome us and I believe everyone should take a couple days in this beautiful home because being away from hectic cities and discovering the gems hidden away in small towns, is what our souls truly need!! Bill & Eileen, I thank you for your hospitality and I look forward to many more trips spent in this gem of a house you guys have to offer!!
