Tranquil backyard and neighborhood with great trail hiking along the Eno River. Lu was a great property owner and very attentive to any communications.

We really enjoyed staying right on the edge of Eno River State Park. We used the fire pit nightly and enjoyed being able to walk down to the river trail from the neighborhood. We even saw a huge family of deer in the back area.

This is our 3rd stay at this wonderful property & our 2nd Easter. Even with my son living in VA now this was the perfect place to celebrate with his Durham friends & his sister who flew up from college in Tampa. 6 person dining & great kitchen. Comfortable bedding & quiet neighborhood. Deer came around & the local neighborhood cat too. Everyone wants to do it again next year!!!

We were coming town to see friends and wanted to find a place to stay close. We really couldn't have gotten closer as they lived right around the corner on Kinlock. The house was perfect for the visit to allow us to have our friends over. Our daughters were able to hang out in the bunk bed room over the garage. The adults were able to have beer and pizza on the patio on a perfectly lovely night The screened in patio made for a perfect space to sit and chat and catch up. The house was well equipped for everything we needed. It was clean and well appointed. But the best part truly is the back porch, patio, deck and surrounding area. My son, who is not outdoorsy, spent so much time exploring. My daughter and her friend swung in the hammock, giggling and catching up. And even our dogs, who don't typically travel with us, loved the screened in patio to catch some rays and a puppy nap or two. It was incredibly ideal and we can't wait to come back when we can enjoy some fall colors. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

We got lucky and the weather is stunning during our stay. But even if the weather wasn't perfect, the property was! A beautiful home, with everything we could want. A gorgeous patio in the back overlooking a forest. A hiking trail right there down to and along the Eno River. And a very nice host (Lu), who was responsive to answer a couple questions I had, and even came over to light the gas fireplace's pilot light. We will stay here again soon. THANK YOU.

We loved the little neighborhood. It was great for a walk around the streets or out the back to the woods and the river. Conveniently located close to stores and a couple good restaurants. While the traffic was a bit much at times, it was not hard to get to downtown Durham, Raleigh, or Chapel Hill. We also enjoyed the daily visits from the herd of deer and Scooter, the neighborhood cat. Super friendly and obviously well cared for by all.

Highly recommend beautiful kitchen, spacious home with gorgeous outdoor areas! Peaceful and quiet area deer roaming freely thru yard. It was amazing!

This property was very well stocked for our family’s Thanksgiving meal. We loved the fact that it backed on the Eno River Park and all enjoyed a few hikes on the trails.

We love staying at Wanda Ridge. The location, the Eno River and protected space around the home, and the home amenities meet our needs perfectly. This was our third time staying and each time we find something new that comes in handy for entertaining. Lu is an excellent owner and responds immediately to questions.

This house is a nice 3- bedroom, 2 bath with a gorgeous backyard located in a wooded area. Home comes complete with everything you could possibly need during your stay, including a fully stocked kitchen.

Love this spot with the beautiful backyard and walk to the river. Will definitely stay again when in the area!!!

We had such a lovely time. The house and backyard were beautiful. We loved the trek down to the river, and the natural wildlife on the property. The power went out and Lu went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, bringing us extra batteries for the flashlights and a drip coffee topper. Would definitely recommend to a friend, and stay here again if we were to visit the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the deck !! The upsairs room had a mildew smell to it so we didnt use it. Plenty of room for our group of 5 without it. Great location and close to many fun things to do.

This is our second time staying. We booked an extended stay in September to catch the first three Duke Football home games. The home is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with an incredibly relaxing backyard featuring large patio areas, a beautiful pond, and fire pit. The home backs up to the Eno River State Park where we spent many hours with our dog Bentley enjoying the Eno River - just 1/2 mile walk away. We are returning in November for another extended stay for Duke Football. Don’t pass this up!

The house was great for us we were in Durham for a wedding. The location is very relaxing we hiked down to the river. The house had lots of room. That back yard is amazing with all the wildlife. If I ever need to stay in Durham I would stat here again for sure.

What a peaceful backyard to sip my coffee on the back porch before rushing to ballparks for travel baseball games. My son LOVED the upstairs space! The house was well equipped with everything you need for a stay away from home. The neighborhood was quiet and nice and a great location. We will book again if back in this area! Lu is wonderful and we so so enjoyed our stay at this property! Felt like home!

My 3 sisters and I were looking for a place to spend some time prior to a family event in Raleigh. This was the perfect place both for its being in a quiet area, the deck, screens porch, back yard, quiet area and still easily accessible to everything we wanted to do. The host was incredibly accommodating as well.

Had a great stay gathering with family. Home had nice amenities and as described. Clean and well supplied. Lu the owner was pleasant and helpful. We had a nice stay.

This was an excellent property. We truly enjoyed our stay, as it was the perfect size, comfortable, well, equipped, and has easy access to Duke University. My family and parents were all able to stay and enjoy the weekend while my daughter graduated from Duke University. The property was conducive to time for relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Beautiful backyard, plenty of room for six adults to be comfortable. We were even able to host a barbecue one night with other family that came into town. I would certainly recommend this property to others, including Duke families for Duke university, events, such as move-in and graduation. We were able to book well in advance and communication with the property owner was superb. The house was very clean and had plenty of household supplies such as cleaning items, kitchen, items, towels, and linens.

We stayed here instead of a hotel for a college graduation and that turned out to be the best decision!! What a terrific time we had! The house was so cozy and perfect for us. It had everything we could need. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The backyard is truly wonderful. The pergola with lights, the running brook, the fire pit, and the woods leading to the Eno River were just what we needed to relax between events!! I would stay here again without question!

Staying here with family was so much better than staying in a hotel in separate rooms.

We stayed here Thanksgiving 2021 & fall colors were magical. This time green colors were awesome. Even though it rained heavy for 2 days it was cozy to be with my son who lives in NC & my daughter who flew up from college in Tampa. Just wish the fireplace could be used!

We found the house perfect for our needs as a place for family members (extended family meeting for a Family wedding) to sleep, gather, and re-acquaint in a quiet neighborhood. Great wildlife viewing, walking in adjoining state park lands with river/ravine/trails; easy access to nearby groceries and various take out options. Host was gracious, accessible, but not obtrusive in any way. Lots of outdoor and indoor spaces for conversation and eating with well-stocked kitchen and dining area. No complaints at all! We say many deer pass through back yard, several owls in action in forest, many ducks and great blue heron…

We had a really great stay. Property is very much accurately described and the backyard is peaceful and perfect if you wanted to have a lovely meal outside. Backyard is even better than what is listed for sure! Very good layout of house. Owner very easy to communicate with! A cute little cat that sits on the porch. Great value. Would highly recommend.
