The property is beautiful and we liked the location. There’s lots of room to spread out. The only negative things I’ll say is that the layout of the house is odd, and the queen sized beds don’t seem to actually be queen sized beds. Maybe full size.

This cabin exceeded all expectations. It was spacious, homey, unique, and offers beautiful scenery of the mountains. The host did great to open this home with everything we needed. I definitely would recommend staying here if you have a large family.

I had a great time with my family but there were a few minor issues with cleanliness, but 2 major issues that I couldn’t get resolved, since I didn’t realize that the property owners stayed 3 hours away, which is what I was told after I reached out. The 1st was not being able to use the hot tub since it was locked upon arrival, and the next day once we got back from our time out, it was unlocked but there were no lights or bulbs in the lights so it was pitched dark on the porch and we couldn’t use the hot tub. The 2nd big issue was the toilet in the master bedroom that had the jetted bathtub it was broken and my guests and I had to flush it with our hand by reaching inside the back. The good news is because of these issues I was given a discount after check out. I was very disappointed, since I have been to a cabin in Gatlinburg before and was really expecting the whole experience with my family of being able to use the hot tub, we had our swimsuits and everything. This was a big deal for me since it was my 50th birthday celebration and my family traveled miles to be with me and experience it. I will definitely be returning to Gatlinburg but never to this location again! I will go directly through the website like we did in previous years and stay away from private owners. FYI, the upper parking is extremely steep which is expected but it should be fixed to be smoother coming down since it scraped the bottom of the SUV. It’s safer in the bottom parking area.

Everything at the cabin was fantastic. Plenty of space for everyone. The view of the Smoky Mountains was gorgeous and a stream running through the mountains was so relaxing.

A perfect place to stay if you have a large family.

Cleanliness was not what we call good, many damages throughout the property, owner was called and she did not know about the damage, HDMI cable in theatre room did not work, not allowing us to use the theatre room, driveway was precarious steep going up and down and very narrow driveway, our family made our own good time sightseeing and enjoying Gatlinburg.

Great Thanksgiving

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was fully stocked with anything we could have possibly needed. We did get to experience a bear walking in the driveway....a little scary but cool at the same time. Property manager was very informative and quickly responded to any questions we had. Truly enjoyed our stay!

It was an amazing place to stay. Way bigger than we were expecting in all areas. The view and the sound of all nature amazing. The cabin was very clean, had lots of kitchen necessities. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I just can’t say it enough about how well-maintained it was definitely a place that we would stay at again.. and a property owner. I asked just a couple simple questions and I got a quick response. Very nice very sweet very easy to work with checking in was a breeze very easy checking out I give this place a 10 out of 10 star rating. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful place.

The pictures on the website need to be updated. Middle floor queen bathroom could use a new shower curtain and shower rod. Hot tub wasn’t working but not too big of a deal. Light fixture in kitchen needs to be replaced and floor and kitchen needs to be fixed. Other than just minor cleaning, the place was fine.

We were very pleased with this cabin in every aspect. There was plenty of room for our entire family. The cabin is fairly close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the pool a couple of times during our week and really loved the balconies overlooking the mountains. The cabin was tidy and well stocked. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to use the hot tub so I can’t review that. The parking will easily hold about 6-7 cars, however, the driveway is quite steep and can be slick when it rains. Overall, we highly recommend Something Special for your family gatherings. We will absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The views were wonderful and we werent far from everything we wanted to do. The owners were easy to access when we had any questions. Our family will definitely be staying here again..

The house was awesome. Had ample bed space and comfy couches. Could have used more towels, but the 5 bathrooms were very helpful with 14 people. The kitchen was well laid out and very well stocked with dishes, but lacked paper products like napkins and paper towels. Parking was exactly as described and suitable for our needs. Hot tub was excellent , but did have small issue with one set of jets that didn’t seem to work. The public use pool was padlocked during our stay and no one was ever in the pool while we were there. We did not get to use it which was the only real disappointing part.

Thought it was great. Enough room for my party of 12. Only thing was not enough room for the trash had to leave three bags inside the washer and dryer

We were here for a week. Ages from 2 1/2 year old to 62 years old. We had our grandsons, 18 year old son, and three adult children. Our 18 year old had 2 friends. They weren’t able to stay all week but when we were all together; plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms! Plenty of cooking utensils! The game room was a hit too! We used the gas grill! Perfect! Big living area for our grandsons to play in . I can’t say enough great things about our stay. We will be back! Perfect for our family.

We did a family trip with 11 people. The cabin was clean, spacious, cozy, and had a phenomenal view with the sound of a peaceful creek running just below. We enjoyed the spacious open concept of the kitchen and living room, and we also utilized the game area on the second floor, and watched a movie in the cinema as well. Each couple had their own bedroom/bathroom, which made it super convenient when getting ready to head to town. The cabin is off the beaten path, but just 15 short minutes to downtown Gatlinburg to enjoy the sites. Overall, the whole family had a blast and we would all recommend staying here!

I surprised my husband with a weekend away for his birthday. It was a beautiful cabin with plenty of room and things to keep us occupied. The pool table and pong table was our favorite. The cabin was very welcoming and cozy! We have no complaints at all! Possibly coming back to stay again in the future!

3-levels with plenty of space. Bedrooms, couches, recliners--this place has it all including a pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table.

The house was perfectly suited for the gathering of our extended family for a rare few days when all of us could interact. The house was nicely decorated with a Christmas theme - just as we hoped it would be! There was something for everyone to do and places for everyone to gather or be alone.

The house floor plan was great for our group of 12. Plenty of bedrooms and baths. And the great room was perfect for gatherings, Christmas morning fun, and game playing. And the large dining table allowed us to all eat together. The cabin was decorated for Christmas and was quite lovely. We did have a few problems. The grills were dirty and the gas grill only lit on one side. As this was listed as an amenity, we came prepared to grill out. And there was a few housecleaning issues.

wonderful home, lots of room to celebrate the upcoming birth of our Lord and to keep culture in the true meaning of the season. kitchen waswell stocked, the house was tastefully and elegantly decorated. ( even the bears dropped by to celebrate. Very homey and accommodating for our party of eight.

Our stay here was great. We had plenary of room to be together or get some space if needed. The house was clean and comfortable. The view was wonderful. It was very well stocked with all you would need for cooking or rainy day in. The directions to here were helpful but I don suggest going in the day light hours as driveways are hard to see in the dark. There are 3 floors so if steps bother you that would be a problem unless you stayed on top floor. The drive to Dollywood and pigeon forge was about a half hour and we went during heavy traffic time so keep that in mind. The host was very good at communicating. We would stay here again

I was very pleased with our stay at this home., and especially communication with the home owner. Everything was as described, and the home had many assets. The only thing negative that I experienced, was the need for routine maintenance (A/C, decks and need to refresh of surfaces) and cleaning of furniture, dust and cobwebs.

The cabin was a perfect size for 14 people. We enjoyed our stay.

Would stay again and recommend it to others

The home is definitely large and has adequate kitchen utensils. Bedrooms on middle level seemed moldy and some of our family couldn’t sleep down there and wound up sleeping on top level couches . Lighting was not bright enough anywhere. We had an accident in the Theater Room due to the lighting - a fall resulting in a trip to ER & a multi-fractured pelvis. Hard to read the sign warning of a step when you can’t see it. It was scary to park in the upper parking area as it is so steep. Glad we didn’t rent a large van. One member came home with bites on her legs - not from mosquitoes. Definitely not the family vacation we planned.

Our family came down to celebrate an anniversary and had a wonderful time. There was a little something for everyone
