The location of the home was very good. But the house is clearly a rental, and needs a lot more attention to detail. The owners do not have good cleaners - someone who stayed there before us left a underwear under the bed. The kitchen had ants everywhere and the air conditioners could not be put on high, otherwise the breaker would pop. It was a heatwave that week and very hard to sleep with such loud ac. The pool guy did a good job, but the owners did not think about filling the pool with more water when it was so hot and humid and water evaporated, which meant the filter was not cleaning the pool water at all since the water level was too low.

Great time renting this house again this year! House is comfy, pool is great and owners are responsive to issues.

Really nice house, pool and great location near everything. The house has everything you need for a wonderful stay, and was spotless! Comfortable beds, great air conditioning, decent decor for a vacation rental home, plenty of beach chairs. A few things to know before you go: 1. There's no sound system in the house or around the pool so bring a small speaker, boom box, etc. for your music needs!! 2. The large backyard was fantastic for our little pup but is not fenced-in 3. The house is a 2-minute walk from an ice cream place, a bagel store, a golf course and a happening new restaurant. It's a 5- minute drive from the supermarket and the closest beach.

I thought the house was a home. So peaceful, beautiful and happy making. My family came to celebrate my birthday and each person was so very happy. I could not have been more pleased. And Shelter Island is magical. Thank you for everything. Love, Brigid

This was our second stay at the house (1st was about 3 years prior). The hosts made some nice updates to the house (from what we could tell, new floors, new outdoor furniture, and probably a few other cleanups), and the house was otherwise just as lovely as we remembered including a great pool and well-maintained backyard, working gas grill, full kitchen, all appliances that work. The location is very convenient just a short drive from beach / ferry / shops etc. The house is also across the street from the best ice cream on the island, a new (since our last visit) beverage shop (with great service), and a nice new restaurant down the block (that had not yet opened by the time of our stay). We look forward to returning to the house in the summers ahead.

Great pool, property and location!

We enjoyed our stay as a family of five. So nice to have the pool, outside deck and front porch. Shelter island has become much more expensive since we visited years ago and the house is reasonably priced. Central location has more traffic but nice to be able to walk for bagels, ice cream and coffee.

What a sunny Shelter island vacation home, with a pristine pool, that satisfied our hospitality three C’s: clean, charming and convenient (especially to the beach and ice cream:>)! Everything was provided and easy-we had the best time: THANK YOU!

We visited for a week with our son and daughter. We loved having the gated pool and deck area. The kids had a blast. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners were really responsive and friendly. Both were available when needed. Overall the house was good. It was mostly clean but could used some updates and deep clean in the master shower. Otherwise we had a nice stay!

We had a great time. The house was perfect. Immaculate rooms and grounds. The pool was beautiful and the outdoor shower was great. Walking distance to beach, bagels and ice cream!! Our Hosts were very friendly and accommodating and easy to contact. Would come back to same house next time!! Thanks to Jack and Annemarie.

Comfortable, great location and super helpful host They left nothing out- there were ample plates/utensils/well stocked kitchen right down to soy sauce and olive oil Plus plenty of nice towels, ridiculous amount of closet space, new appliances and a spectacular pool

We had such a great time. The place was very relaxing and the pool was great. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The town is very cute as well. Great time and we highly recommend staying in this home!

This was our second year spending a week in this house. We love it. It was even better this year because the kitchen was renovated and better stocked with utensils and etc. The pool is lovely. It isn't heated but is in the sun all day so it is warm. You can bike anywhere on the island from the house. Best of all, it is across the street from the Tuck shop - a local ice cream palour!

My family and I love shelter island and this house was perfect. Clean, perfect locale. We will definitely be back.

Overall our stay was lovely. House was clean and spacious, accommodating two families very well. Kitchen was modern and well equipped. Nice quiet neighborhood allowed for a relaxing stay. We used the swimming pool daily and was the icing on the cake. Owners were very responsive to our needs and questions. We recommend some updates to the house, such as deck and master bathroom shower.

This house is in a great location and has an awesome unseated pool and a brand new kitchen. The hot tub was unusable due to filth. The house is in need of TLC in areas, but we had a fabulous week. Thank you.

We enjoyed our week at this home. The pool was great, and Shelter Island is small enough that anywhere on the island is a quick car ride away. The a/c units were a little noisy, and central air would be a nice upgrade t consider. The owner staying on property was friendly and not at all intrusive.

Our 2nd time staying and once again we loved it. The pool and spacious backyard with beautiful tree is stunning. The kitchen has been recently renovated and there is a new games room. The beds are comfortable and so is the couch! Location is perfect - fifteen minute walk to Crescent Beach and Marie Eiffel cafe for the best egg sandwiches and croissants. Definitely recommend this house for a wonderful getaway.

We had a great time in this large well appointed house. It’s comfortable & conveniently located & Annmarie was a pleasure to communicate with thruout the process.

We had to leave the city for a few weeks following a water damage in our apartment and we had the best time at Annmarie’s house in Shelter Island. Great location close to Crescent beach, not far from supermarket and plenty of games for the kids. Owners are very nice and helpful.

Cozy and convenient location.

The photos don’t do this place justice. It looked great but it is even more wonderful in real life. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We were two families with two babies and there was enough space for both of us to happily coexist. The pool is gorgeous and the yard is huge.

The property is comfortable, fresh, clean, and has everything you want or need. Comfortable furniture to lounge around on to watch TV, great deck, grill, pool, chaise lounges... it’s all there! Bedrooms have comfortable beds and are well equipped in terms of night tables, reading lamps, etc. We felt very much at home immediately. Hosts are lovely and helpful - delightful stay!

This was our first visit to Shelter Island and a chance to visit with our daughter, son in law and 7 yr old grandson who stayed with us. The location was terrific, easy to get anywhere and to explore the island the house was clean and functional, and the pool and yard were amazing. We always looked forward to the end of the day swim and spent all our time out on deck or the yard when at the house. I recommend it!!!

As the day of our departure approached, we started to dream of ways to stay and never leave 😊 We cannot wait to go back to this house! Wonderful house, garden, pool. Beautiful island The host was the most helpful, responsive and accommodating we have ever had.

Very comfortable and lovely home on a great location. The pool was fantastic- we spent almost all our time there. We had a couple minor issues with mechanics and Annemarie & Jack responded right away. You will love your stay here!
