This was the perfect place to reconnect with my friends from high school who I've remained friends with for over 40 years. The owner is very friendly. The cabin was very clean and in a great location. We all felt right at home from the moment we walked through the door. We are even talking about coming back again. Highly recommend !

We loved this home! The 128 steps down to the water were a workout but they made for some amazing pictures!

We had a lovely stay at this cabin! Everyone enjoyed the home, property and surrounding towns. Rafting, zip lining, mini golf with swimming in area waterfalls. Home was very clean and nicely decorated. Property well maintained and lovely. Deer visited every morning. House was supplied adequately for several days and didn’t go without anything. We hope to return at a future date. Thank you Porters!

Property had a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the picnic / fire pit area and the river quite a bit.

This was the perfect getaway cottage on the river. The cottage was just as described. It fit my family of 5 with lots of room to spare. The owner was easily reached and always available for answers we were needing, though everything was so perfect we didn’t need any. The river was fun for fishing every morning. Helen was a quick drive to enjoy everything there. When we had a rainy day the cabin had all of the fun amenities we needed to still enjoy our day and not be bored or disappointed and the hot tub was a great way to end every night. If anyone is thinking of visiting Helen and/or surrounding areas then this is definitely the one and only place to stay; it is perfectly placed central to any town around giving you plenty of options for hikes, shopping, entertainment and food.

We enjoyed having s’mores by the fire pit, walking down to see the beautiful river, relaxing in the hot tub while the weather was cool, and having family fun night with all the games and movies! Thanks you for an amazing place to vacation that was close to home ❤️

Excellent stay. Location is beautiful. Wooded property over looking a river. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms with room for at least 8 people. TV in all rooms. Two bathrooms. Living room very comfortable with large TV and fireplace. Highly recommend

The cabin was great! Beautifully decorated! Easy access to Helen! Beautiful views!!! We enjoyed the Hot tub and the rocking chairs on the back deck!! The beds were really comfortable! We highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was as advertised. It was very clean and well kept. The owners even decorated for Christmas which was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving. We had 10 people and all of the beds were comfortable. Wonderful view of the river. We had two children there under 2 so the only downfall If anything was there were no blinds in the master bedroom for nap time, but it was great overall. Plentiful parking as well, and communication with the owner was quick and easy. 5 stars!!

I rented this cabin as extra housing space for extended family visiting for a wedding. They all bragged on the decor and comfort of the home. Lots of space and a nice view (but a heck of a staircase) for the river. Communitation with the owner was good before and after. My only issues would be to receive written instruction on accessing the cabin, used of gas fireplace and for use of the hot tub. He wanted a phone call for us to get info for these. By the time we wanted to use the hot tub, it was 11pm so we felt it was too late to call (based on a note on the hot tub cover). But I still give this a 5star rating because its such a beautiful cabin and great location. If you like to tube or kayak, it is next door to Wildwood Outfitters (who we have gone kayaking through many times). Hoping to one day visit his other rental in St. Augustine FL, since most of my family is in Jax FL.

This home was such a wonderful place. It felt magical and you had that feeling of actually being at home. It was beautiful scenery and the owner were just wonderful people. I would recommend anyone to stay here I know I will be coming back again!

William was awesome. The property was perfect. We got married by the fire ring. We had booked months ago and needed to evaluate our island home in Florida from hurricane Ian. I'm typing this with no power still. Wishing I was there.

The property was just as described. My family and I were in town for my niece's wedding nearby. The location could not have been more perfect for us. Everything was really close and it was so nice to come back to a quiet, comfortable space to relax and play games. Would not hesitate to stay here again if my travels send me back to the area.

We were able to do a lot of things in a short period of time because the property is so close to Lara attractions the kids loved and enjoyed the playroom area

There was nothing missing from the amenities that were advertised. And the outdoors was also discribed correctly. My 'crew' was as pleased as I was at the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin in the woods. My great grandsons (ages 5 and 11) comments were AWSOME! Will I return? If God is willing....YES.

This cabin was very nice and clean. We enjoyed watching the turtles in the river. When a TV was discovered to not be working, it was replaced right away, which was really appreciated. The dishwasher , however, was broken with a note not to use. The hot tub cannot be adjusted per owner without messing it up and resulting in a service fee, which was unfortunate since it was set to 104 degrees, which was too hot for several of our guests to get in. The downstairs bed is very hard, and the curtains are hung on the wall above the french doors on a rod that doesn't allow them to slide to open the door, which doesn't work out well. Meals for 8 generate a lot of dishes to hand wash while on vacation...3x a day was a real bummer. Not much counter space available for cooking large meals and what we did have went for drying dishes. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, and everything well stocked. We had a good time here. Spaces both inside and outside were great for family time. Parking was convenient. Would definitely recommend this place for other families. We saw deer, squirrels, scorpions, and heard coyotes during our cabin stay.

Wonderful cabin in the woods ! Very clean and owners were prompt with getting us some extra towels when requested. If you have a big group, just know there aren't many extra towels and towels don't dry well especially on the bottom floor. So bring extra hand, kitchen towels and wash cloths if you do a lot of cooking and hand washing like us! There isn't a dish drying rack. Beds were all VERY comfortable with the exception of one mattress in the basement but we stuck the single adult on it ;). The rocking chairs on the porch, fire with smores, hot tub... wonderful! We rented Kayaks at the bottom of the hill. All in all a wonderful week! Thank you 😊.

Great cabin for a kayaking trip, kayak rental company right down the hill. The bonfire is amazing as well!

We had an excellent time at the cabin, it was even more beautiful in person and the view is incredible. We had everything we needed and William was excellent with help and quick responses. Would absolutely stay here again, 10/10 all around. Thank you!

The house and location was wonderful for our family Christmas Vacation. The communication with William (the owner) was terrific from our initial booking and throughout our stay. The house was beautifully decorated and we couldn't have been happier with everything.

This was our second time renting this property. It is amazingly well thought out and everything is there. Traveling with a large family it makes a great “Home base” for all the fun things in the area.
