Lovely updated cottage, well laid-out and more spacious that the square footage might suggest!! Wonderful amenities such as paddle boards, kayaks, and rental of the Pontoon on a beautiful clear lake with sand bar right across the way providing crystal blue shallow waters. Our kids also enjoyed the shallow swimming area right off the docks and fishing off the boat (which was EXCELLENT for catching perch, blue gill, sunfish, etc.). Location was so fun for us to check out the smaller towns and local favorites like House of Pies, Bob's Place in Alanson, Northwoods Restaurant, and other quaint places! All while being super close to bigger city amenities in Petoskey. So much to discover! Jessica, was above and beyond with host communications and check in was an absolute breeze! Don't miss out on this little slice of heaven in northern michigan!!!

We had the best time! Hosts were awesome, house was nicely updated, fluffy towels, best fresh baked cookies, easy to get to and the lake is clear and beautiful. Having a boat to rent onsite was icing on the cake. Definitely would stay here again.

Enjoyed our time there particularly because Jessica and Justin and their son Jake were so attentive when we had a question or need of any kind.

Great location right on the lake with outdoor deck, eating area, dock and boat that can be rented for use on 3 different lakes. Place is clean, functional and convenient, with a welcome treat left for us. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Recommended to rent for relaxing time.

This property was very clean and we were very pleased with the location on the lake. With teens ages 12-17 we were able to let them go the sand bar which is right across the lake in the rented kayaks and paddles boards. The owner of as very responsive and easy to communicate with. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone.

We loved this property. Great location next to an awesome bike trail, access several beaitiful lakes and nice restaurants. Everything was clean and the owners were very nice and accommodating.

We were looking for a place for 6 of us to share a family lake getaway, and this property was a perfect fit! Even before we arrived, we enjoyed prompt and kind communication with the owners. They remained super responsive during our stay. Check-in was easy, and made sweeter by the delicious cookies waiting in the kitchen! The house had a really lovely standard of furnishings, linens and towels, including the wonderful outdoor seating areas. The kitchen was super well stocked for anything we wished to prepare. We enjoyed kayaking and grilling out, loved sitting around the firepit, and had fun excursions to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and found a new favorite, the lumberjack show in Mackinaw City. Great food, shopping, and hunting for Petoskey stones were within easy reach. We also loved being right on the Petoskey to Mackinaw Trail for easy access to walking and running... Finally, we celebrated a milestone birthday during the week, and were so thrilled that the owner happens to be a genius professional baker! The cake that she created is one that helped make the occasion so special, and we'll be fondly remembering our week on Crooked Lake until we can return!

The property was perfect for our vacation needs. We ate outside for every meal, barbequed often.The location is excellent for biking, fishing, boating. Lots of property for lawn activities. We enjoyed nightly campfires, daily boating and fishing. Jaunts into Petsokey, Bay Harbor and Indian River were very convenient. The owners were very prompt with any questions we had. We rented their pontoon, kayaks and paddle boards. The kayaks and boards were excellent quality. The pontoon needs some aesthetic TLC but it didn't stop us from enjoying our water excursions. Start off with all the sweet treats left for us to indulge on. Talk about being right at home. Great beds, fully stocked kitchen. Short drive to Petoskey. Wine laughter great place to play games. Then enjoy the bond fire pit. Wake up fully rested and make a omelette. Repeat

The cottage has frontage and views of Crooked Lake from two sides. We stayed during the winter break between Christmas and New Year’s. We did alpine skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating, and a fire in the fire pit. Internet speed was about 45MB, fine for streaming and remote work. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking. The owner is very quick to respond.

It rained some so we weren’t able to enjoy the outside of the cottage much. Inside had everything that we needed, plenty of space, loved the gas burning stove, and plenty of room. We spent the evenings playing games inside. Location was great close to Petoskey park and other small towns. Great time to visit Michigan, the leaves on the trees were beautiful. Cottage owners were easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. On the day we were to checkin, we woke up with our air conditioner leaking. They let us change our stay dates so we could get it repaired which was much appreciated! Definitely would stay here again and would love to go back when it is warmer to use the lake.

We had a lovely time in this lake home. It was immaculately clean and well stocked and the communication with the owner was excellent. We felt very safe in this home and in the surrounding communities as there seemed to be good compliance with mask wearing and social distancing. One note, the wood burning fireplace is decorative, but the gas fireplace/stove kept us nice and warm. And the yummy cookies that greeted us were such a nice touch.

The cottage is beautiful and the owners are so easy to communicate with. The experience was amazing from beginning to end. We are hoping to come back in the summer!

We had a great stay. Home is beautiful, fully updated inside. Great lake view and firepit area. Necessities provided and that was very helpful! Fall colors were beautiful! Property owners were very responsive and generous. Would highly recommend this property.

The owners were an absolute pleasure to work with. Extremely helpful and very responsive! They left cookies for the kids and once they found out we got engaged made a special delivery of desserts! The pictures don’t do this place justice! We had the BEST family trip because of owners!

I have been renting cottages for twenty years and our experience at Crooked Lake was the best! The owners were always available to answer questions. The cottage was well appointed. The appliances were top notch which I appreciated. The pontoon boat was a big hit, we used it twice a day to go to the black hole. The kids were wild about diving into the water! This is the first time a cottage had the paper products they said they would have, very refreshing! We have to give a 5 star because we had such a good time. Thank you for sharing your gem with others.

The location of the property and the attention and communication with the owners made our stay super easy and relaxing 😎. Being able to rent the toys and being able to actually swim to the sand bar was amazing!! We will definitely stay here again next summer #crookedlake2021

Our stay at crooked lake was great. The house was clean and the owners/managers of the property were very accommodating and responsive to anything that came up. The location is awesome on crooked lake and still is close to all that Petoskey has to offer. The only thing that I would say was negative was that we didn’t have many towels and there wasn’t enough hand soap for the week. We remedied this by getting soap from the store and doing laundry often but really other than that everything was great and we hope to stay there again in the future!

The house was more than expected, very updated and everything we needed during our stay. Being there during the hottest week of the year, we truely appreciated the A/C that the cottage was equipped with. Jessica and Justin were very helpful when we had questions, since the property had everything we needed our questions were limited to getting more firewood for the bon fire and where the best fishing was. The Artesian spring that supplied the house was fantastic, we had brought our own water but quickly realised the water from the spring was better than bottled.

The location of this home is perfect with a great view. The outdoor living space was excellent! Also, the property managers were great and communicated with us in a timely manner. So, why a 3.5? The cleanliness was our concern. When we went to make coffee we had to clean out the grounds and pot from the previous visitors which was disappointing. Also, my daughter found tissues hanging from the slates of the bunk when she went to bed. Lastly, the hand towel in our bathroom did not appear clean as well so I replaced it with a better looking towel I found in the bathroom closet. All of the towels were a bit worn and could stand to be replaced. We are typically not picky visitors, but cleanliness, particularly during these times needs to be stellar.

We had a great time enjoying Crooked Lake and the Petoskey area. The cottage had all the amenities and the owners were great hosts. The Lily Pad mat and pontoon boat rentals made the week.

The house and owners were amazing! We had so much fun! The lake was beautiful.

It was wonderful being so close to the water, feeling the breeze and watching the boats go by. We had a fishing boat tied to the dock and used it almost every day. We will definitely be back.

The property is well maintained with a strong emphasis on clean new interior. I did not feel like I was staying in a rental at all. For early (cold) March when we went, we did not make use of the exterior areas but were so comfortable otherwise that we will look into staying during the summer time.

The house is extremely clean and oh so cozy, with a snuggly blanket in every corner. And, the view! So beautiful. We saw an otter playing in the water and what we thought was eagles. The check in process was super easy and we enjoyed the goodies left for us.

We have family in the area and will try to stay here every time we visit. Cute house, beautiful view/setting, convenient to get to petoskey, harbor springs. Owners were very nice and went out of their way to bring us extra towels during our stay and were very responsive.
