The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.

Good location. House was neat and clean. Only concern was the step in the bathroom and getting out of the tub/shower.

Spacious, very clean, great relaxation area and kitchen,great parking, near to all there is to see especially Acadio National Forest.

Great location to check out Acadia! 2 mins from grocery story. The place was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the layout of the place. Kitchen was perfectly appointed. Beds were clean and comfy! Plenty of towels. Check in/out and communication with Tim were great. I wish the shower pressure was a little better, but it still worked fine. Kids room smelled a little musty. Otherwise, wonderful stay and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay while enjoying beautiful Acadia.

Nice place and well equipped with supplies. Acadia is spread out all over the area so you are a good drive to some trails and views but still close to many other trails. I stayed with my 2 kids in college and it was perfect for us.

We have 2 teens and this spot was perfect. This spot in Southwest Harbor was just a couple of minute drive from the little dowtown, and also very close to grocery store and laundromat. The host was incredibly quick with responses.

This is not a good place for older people or children because of the spiral stairs and the railing upstairs would be easy for kids to fall through. I do not recommend because getting luggage up and down those spiral stairs and in the middle of the night is dangerous!

It was clean, beds are comfy a short drive to many restaurants, you could walk but there are no sidewalks, the supermarket is just up the street . Overall a good location to check out the Bar Harbor area.lots of hiking trails close by without going to Arcadia.

Both of my kids loved staying there. They had so much fun exploring the loft and games. They discovered the singing fish deco on the last day and had a blast. My husband and I loved how functional the kitchen was. It was a great stay and we would like to go back!!

We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The space was clean and well stocked to meet our needs. We used the residence as a base to explore both the Loop area of Acadia as well as the park areas around Southwest Harbor. The location was ideal to reach all of those places quickly to match what we wanted to do each day.

Clean and comfortable with a full well utensiled kitchen. Nearby supermarkets. Bathroom was a little dated but functional. Second bedroom is a loft so no privacy from living room to second bedroom. You need to have a car to get around. This is not walking distance to attractions or restaurants.

The location of the home was perfect as well. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

Great location for our family vacation to Acadia. It was nice staying at Southwest Harbor, quieter than Bar Harbor. The unit was comfy for our family of 5.

I traveled with my aunt to Maine so we could spread the ashes of my mom. We found a great spot in Acadia. We also ate tons of lobster and blueberry pie. We would stay here again. It was clean and close to everything.

Clean, super nice 2 bedroom, 1 bath! (Heads up about winding staircase to upstairs bedroom though!). Great communication with host! Fabulous location to all Acadia and Bar Harbor events and activities. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Maine!

We stay in same location 4 yrs ago...loved it so much had to come back. We especially love Echo beach and Acadia.

This house was perfect for our 4 night stay near Acadia for our family of five! The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels and blankets, even the added touches of having games and coolers was fantastic! It was a short 20 minute drive from the house to the Acadia visitors center and a nice easy drive to all the things we wanted to do. The owner was so friendly and helpful! Thank you for such a great stay!

Our stay was excellent. The property was very clean and convenient. We were a short scenic 20 minute drive from the park. There were many thoughtful amenities to make our arrival welcoming like hand soap, coffee and paper towels. The bedding was excellent and helped us sleep well after a day of hiking. Plenty of space, clean, functional. Would be better if there weren't highway noise, if there were internal doors that closed, if location was in a more pretty location and if bathroom was updated.

My friends and I were looking around for places to stay near Acadia within a reasonable price range. After some looking around, this place jumped out at us the most and booked our trip! We have traveled together many times before with other friends and enjoy staying at smaller places rather than hotels, and this was perfect. The area was not congested or crowded at all, and had many other things to do close by to go out and see. It was in a perfect location for us, and was very clean. For our long weekend trip it had everything we needed and had plenty of space. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already talking about coming back one day.

The property was clean and had everything we needed including extras like beach towels, coolers, umbrellas. The pictures made the space look smaller than it actually is. Tim was friendly and quick to respond to questions. The pillows were not the best.

After driving for 2 days from Ohio it was so nice to arrive to such a beautiful, spotless condo. It was perfect for me and 2 adult children. Plenty of space. We loved the short trip to Bar Harbor and the Acadia Park. Echo Beach is just a mile a way. That was a highlight for us. Can’t wait to come back some day. Highly recommend!!! Awesome first time VRBO experience.

Tim was very friendly. The unit had all the comforts we needed, including instructions on how to eat the lobster from Charlotte's that we got. (Highly recommend getting food from her on the seawall road nearby, as she has a really humane way of ending their lives and they taste sweeter for it). The highway that the property is on was pretty busy and the traffic sounds woke us up a couple of times. Were people commuting or just driving to Acadia to start their hike early? It was hard to tell. It is nice being surrounded by the park all around, but we found we couldn't really walk places as the highway speed limit is 45 and people probably go 60. There are no sidewalks. This cottage shares walls with two other units. We couldn't hear them at all from inside, but you will see them in the parking lot. All the units have their own parking spaces. Some of the windows do open, but it was hard to get a cross-breeze because the window ac units blocked the only window on the other side of the house. There is no privacy covering on the bathroom window either. On hotter days, the ac units did a great job of cooling the unit down. All in all, our family is five really enjoyed the spacious unit, clean space and fun location.
