Too dark at night, no lights in the whole property

Our aim was to dig a hole in the beach and sit in the hot water -and we did! Really great experience - such a social activity with people from all round the world

Water supply in our chalet would have been handy

Close to the beach. All facilities are clean. Staffs are so friendly.

Great location within walking distance to the beach. Shovel hire cheaper than at the beach. Lovely cabin with a mini fridge. Communal kitchen which had just enough plates/pots/pans. Nice swimming pool and hot tub.

Cabin could have done with a kettle. But other than that, great stay! No cheap place to buy food from nearby, so pick up on your way if you’re planning on cooking yourselves, although there’s a fish and chip van on site.

Proximity to the beach; the staff were friendly and helpful; there is a range of accommodation choices; the Deluxe Cabin was well equipped, clean and the bed was comfortable.

The communal kitchen was lacking in cutlery (especially forks and wine glasses). It is a camp, so zero privacy.

The cabin is really clean and warm, perfect for a short getaway for couples or family. The facilities are great! Would come back again!

The hut was nice and we had a car parking space right next to the flat. Good kitchen facilities with plenty of space for everyone.

Felt that the staff could have been more helpful when explaining the 'hot water beach'. We were unaware the hot water was tidal and also struggled to find the place we were supposed to be digging. Given the whole accommodation is catering to those visiting hot water beach, I thought they could have been more helpful. We checked out and asked if we could keep the towels for an extra hour so we could shower after visiting the beach, and they said we would have to pay for late check out as we would be using the shower facilities after out check out time. Found the staff particularly unaccommodating.

Excellent location to explore hot water beach (they also rent spades), very help staff who provides very good recommendations what to do in the area, top notch facilities.

It was the priciest holiday park we stayed during our trip in New Zealand.

Great place to stay with the kids. Rooms were as expected and fit the 4 of us nicely. The staff were uber helpful and the location was so convenient.

I slept in the deluxe cabin, which was very cozy. I also liked my front porch. The Holiday Park is huge and has many amenities such as a fully eqipped kitchen, a little shop, a fish and chips "restaurant", trampoline, waching machines. The Park is very clean. Best feature is the location though. Very close to the Hot Water Beach. (You should go there at night, it is even better than during the day). You can also hire a spade at reception.

A tiny little smoking area would have been nice. Other than that everything was great.
