Friendliest and bed comfort

Breakfast. Too contemporary. Also sausage was cooked inside but skins were raw and therefore too chewy. Bacon deep fried and no option for egg to be cooked ( poached rare only 🙄) Finally everything pilled up on a dry piece o’sour dough piece of toast which is also not an an option and without butter!

The staff Claudia exceptionally friendly and helpful

We stayed here in February this year in room 2 it was a beautiful room but the climb up three flights of stairs was w challenging. We booked again and asked for a lower floor on the assumption all rooms were the same. How wrong could we be!! We paid twice the amount for the room of the previous visit for a box room on the first floor (7) the toilet seat fitted was for a child and all tap fixings were missing. The wash basin sited in a alcove was so tight. The saving grace is the quality of the staff, they made our visit more than passable. Our next visit will definitely be in room 2.

My wife and I were visiting London from Australia and decided to stay at the Clerk And Well Hotel based on its location and reviews - the Hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of terrific customer service, lovely room, good breakfast and great Sunday Lunch. The staff particularly Claudia, Chris and the young lass who opened up the Hotel of a morning were all so very very helpful - we would recommend the Clerk And Well to anyone looking for good accomodation and meals in London.

The rooms are huge compared to other places we have stayed in London, even tho we were staying over the pub we didn't hear any noise from it, everyone was so helpful and friendly, the room was close enough to all the amenities. The price was very cheap for being in London to !

stayed here for almost an entire week because of the perfect proximity to both east london and the west end. whole staff was really kind and accommodating, even helped bring my painfully overstuffed luggage up a narrow flight of stairs when i arrived which was a real struggle im sure. restaurant was really high quality which was nice to lean on if you were tired from traveling about. i almost dont want to hype it up too much because the quiet / laid back nature of the location is part of the charm, but that wouldn't be fair to the staff who deserve all the props and accolades they can get!
