Asked for a kettle and 2 cups which should have been supplied and didn’t receive any coffee or teas milk etc 3 out of 4 days but had to pay for1 water out of the fridge but other than that reception were friendly with the rest of the staff

Great location to start exploring for the day, great area for dining too. Breakfast was nice on the rooftop, great and friendly service. Parking in the courtyard is a plus.

it’s a very good hotel in the heart of Bologna which I booked accidentally because I was physically kicked out from other place I booked on Booking.com and they didn’t do nothing to help me. So I must to find a new place to stay and it was a pleasant surprise that I booked such a wonderful hotel and checked-in immediate. I highly recommend you to stay in the Hotel San Donato, the stuff is very nice and friendly, the room isn’t big but has it all, the AC works perfect, also the balcony is nice but could be better if you put there a table and chairs. the rooftop is wooow, amazing panoramic view!

The location was stunning - we were traveling by train and foot - we selected a traditional hotel in the heart of the university. = a great location

Great location in the centre and very friendly staff. They will make you feel welcome. Good parking available which was nice.

The room was very, very outdated. It was a 4 star hotel, however the room felt more like a 2 star motel room. Since it was only for 1 night and the friendly staff I guess it was okay.

Hotel San Donato is in an excellent central location 150 meters from the Due Torri and with easy access on foot to all the city centre highlights of Bologna. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we could not fault the cleanliness and comfort of our room, despite it being in an older wing of the hotel. We would recommend that you dump your luggage and make lots of forays out and about, popping back to put your feet up from time to time, in your room or on either of the two roof terraces, one with panoramic rooftop views and the other a more charming balcony perched over the streetscene and lively cafe below.

There was no bar during our stay, but on the plus side, we were able to bring in our own wine and drinks and enjoy them in the public spaces of the hotel ( which obviously saved money).

Clean, fantastic location, great bedding, fluffy towels and exceptional service. generous size single bedroom.

Just that there were no coffee / tea facilities in the room but I think that’s common.
